Fast food uniforms in the 80s were hideous - there were several scenes in Fast Times at Ridgemont High with this singular focus - no one would have someone taking photos of yourself in them. |
Her single mother's finances were tight in Montreal, but wasn't her mother's new job in California a huge promotion, coinciding with Kamala transferring to pricey private Howard University? Yet we're to believe the first thing Harris did in California was disregard her and her mom's Hindu faith and go work a servant job serving up beef burgers and fries cooked in beef tallow? If the family finances were so dire in California, why did she transfer to an expensive private college on the other side of the country? A 20 year old university student with an upper caste academic mom working a servant labor job around flunkies and high school kids sounds far fetched.
And if the McDonald's job self-funded the private Howard education and flights home, she'd be proud of it and have evidence of the gig. She would have quickly received promotions. The franchise owner and McDonald's corporate would be tripping over themselves to prove this. |
MAGA doesn’t care. They think our adversaries are our allies. |
I understand and also, this was one franchisee’s call. And only MAGA reading comprehension would interpret what they said as “evidence”. I got the sense they tried to be very neutral. |
This assertion is ridiculous. Yes, 1980s, prior to cell phones when college kids took photos with those cheap CVS style cameras if they had money to buy the camera and then pay again to develop the film. People didn't take pictures of themselves at work then. It wasn't as much a thing to take photos in general other than family events or friends gatherings. I have ZERO photos of myself at any job prior to the 2000's. Why would I bring a CVS camera to work for photos?? And also, nobody remembers who they worked with at some McD's job in the 80s. FFS, I can't name the first and last name of any of my coworkers form my college job in the late 90's. Except for I dated, and that's it. And have you seen the way MAGA react to anyone who would claim anything? No, nobody is going forward publicly to deal with the death threats. What is your excuse for ignoring Trump's lies? |
Employment. Records. Are. Typically. Tossed. After. Three. Years. |
What low-wage job did you work at when you were 18-19 years old, forty-plus years ago? Go ask that employer for your record and see what happens. |
McDonald's corporate boasts about each and every famous person who worked there going back to the 1950s and 60s. Kamala Harris is the only famous person ever in which literally zero proof exists she ever ate there, let alone worked there in the 80s. Please stop digging this hole. She lied. She got caught. The end. |
THey just staged photoshoot for trump to boost him. It's clear who they support. Why would they release any records proving him a liar? |
McDonalds corporate does not keep records for individually owned franchises. Who have they actually gone on to verify paperwork for? |
From the New York Times: Ms. Harris’s campaign said that she was an employee of the McDonald’s on Central Avenue in Alameda, Calif., in 1983 during the summer after her freshman year at Howard University, working the cash register, french-fry station and ice cream machine. It has provided little information beyond that, including how long she worked there. She also mentioned her job at McDonald’s when she ran for president in 2019. So.... she worked there during a summer break. For 4 months. I worked at an AMC Theater and do have pictures, because the high school yearbook came and photographed us (I got a lot of my friends jobs there). Otherwise, I would not have photos of the job from 1977. Now my friends could vouch for me for that job. But I worked a job in college for 8 months.... I could not name any of those people, and would have no proof I worked there. I did not take pictures. It was in a copy center. I don't have paystubs or any other proof, either. |
This. I worked a retail store 25 years ago and cannot name the people I worked with. Doubt they could name me. Stood at the cash register, did my job, went home. |
