Dave Grohl, sooo disappointed (had a baby outside of his marriage)

My hero? My @ss!

Yeah. Apparently, his values appear to be very similar with Trump's after all...

Not if you consider he’s had a long marriage and said respectful things about his wife and daughters and seeking their forgiveness.

Trump is going to have an absolute field day with this. Grohl was playing holier than thou about Trump and his scandals...and, oh boy, a fellow cheater and illegitimate baby maker.

I don't understand why he even mentioned it.
Why not deal with it in private with your wife?

Whatever. Trump and Ivana were married 15 years. The two finalized their divorce in 1992 but maintained a cordial relationship years later.
"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life," Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social, announcing her death.

Grohl is a loser, cheating scumbag too. He just hid it better to promote his music/image.

Clearly, he was getting ahead of the forthcoming gossip. Like so many other famous men who have illegitimate kids, he was forced into recognizing the birth and paying $.

People in open marriages do not do big Instagram posts about how they need to "rebuild trust" with their wife and children.

The instagram post was not for his marriage, it was for the court of public opinion.

I find it kind of insulting actually that so many people are so horrified on behalf of his wife and believe she is so traumatized and that he's destroyed her life and blah blah. Give the woman some agency please. She chose her life, she chose her husband, how do you have any idea if she was blindsided or traumatized or whatever. Just because your moral standard is that cheating and a baby outside of marriage is the absolute most evil thing that could have ever happened to her, do you really think a woman who has been in this marriage for so long with this man doesn't have her own set of values?

To the poster who said she can't get out of bed because she thought Dave Grohl "was a wonderful man, a man who could be trusted, a role model," why does cheating erase all those things? Some people, like me, and who knows, maybe his wife, don't see the world and relationships in such binary terms. Things aren't so black and white when it comes to monogamy and biology. People aren't perfect, his wife was well aware of his flaws and accepted him. Maybe this transgression is a bridge to far for her. Who knows, but the public pressure that this is such an unforgivable act is bonkers to me.

You are certainly entitled to your views regarding monogamy and marriage. However, the majority of married people feel that it is in fact, disgusting to father a child with someone outside of your marriage while you are still married, and especially when you have other children in the home. Whether he and his wife were ok with an open marriage is certainly between the two of them. But I can’t imagine she or their girls are remotely ok with him having an additional child with a mistress or one night stand or whatever it was.

Actions speak louder than words. You know this isn't the first time. He is scum. I was skeptical when he went on to attack Taylor Swift and now we all know what kind of low life he really is

+1

Let's be real. He's probably done this before and the only thing he's sorry about is getting caught. He probably wanted to stay on top of the press and acknowledge it so it was less of a big deal. Truely disappointing.

I have an acquaintance whose neighbor had an affair with him nearly 10 years ago. The husband was devastated and they got a divorce.

Tell me your favorite famous person and I’ll tell you something crappy they’ve done.

Why is anyone surprised or acting like he’s unusual?
