Marylanders: Did you regret not choosing Virginia when it came time to apply to college?

Looks like FUN!!! thats why Umd has no mass shootings, coeds face down in a pool of blood, aduction/murders, decapitated students or suicide epidimics like the Va schools. |

| Thanks, I think the healthy atmosphere at Umd is why the graduates go on the be so amazing in their world changing inventions and creations. Good examples of former terps inventions/creations are Google, the muppets, under armour, pulse doppler radar, the boondocks, broke watergate, sydicated baywatch, invented linear programming, invented the octane system, invented to universal price code, implanted defibulators, minturized insulin pumps, the stadium jumbotron, developed frequent flyer programs, created seinfeld, created the wire,. Uva grads haven't done squat to effect modern life in the U.S. Umd grads have had trasformational impact more than any other school in the ACC. Plus more nobels (2), Pulitzers (16) and academy awards (3) than Uva 0,7 and 0. |

| The whole point of this thread is crass and sick. In my opinion, it is symptomatic of an attitude that is unhealthy. An attitude that has resulted in a current culture of death among Virginia schools . Too many unhappy children trying to please their parents and "measure up" to some sort of weird ideal. Kids in college should try hard, but also explore, grow up and have FUN...it leads to prospering, following their dreams and great achievement. I would never go to Uva in it's current state. The schools I would choose in the ACC are Umd, Unc, and Clemson having spent a good deal of time at all the schools...they are the happiest while at the same time reasonably challenging. |

UMd Booster, you're the one making it crass and sick. Your knowledge of non-Maryland schools is limited. Your statistics are narrow and self serving. Your logic is specious. (You probably blame NYC for 9/11.) You're simply bloviating. You've ignored other state schools other than UVa and UMd. The idea that students at UVa, Va Tech, James Madison,George Mason,ODU, VCU, etc aren't having any FUN is absurd. Ok your turn. Repeat the same statistics that you've entered 90 times so far. I've got to go Google for the best UnderArmour buys via my new Jumbotron hooked up to my PC. Things haven't been this good since indoor plumbing and penicillin where invented. |

The reason they apparently mean jack poop is because Maryland has produced only 1...ever. You can look it up on Yahoo while wearing your Spandex gazing into your liquid crystal computer screen. Maybe WV (24) is a much better school than people think. Perhaps the question should have been: Maryland parents, do you regret not having moved to West Virginia? |
