Why can't police find the escaped prisoner in Philly?

I kind of hope he escapes again.

Only a really sick or horribly ignorant person would make such a comment.
Not only did he kill 2 people, he has terrorized a rural community in PA for 2 weeks. Schools have been closed. Families have been locked in their homes. Children have been traumatized. Home owners have been threatened. And, millions have been spent on his capture.

My only regret is that he is still alive. He is a worthless human with no regard for life.

It sounds like you only have regard for some life.

Be better.

I hope you will share the importance of having regard for human life and being a better person with the young man who killed two people-- with the second victim left bleeding in front of her two young children after having been stabbed by him 38 TIMES.

And I don't think he stole that loaded rife with no intent to harm or kill someone else.

The news reported tonight that Cavalcante agreed to talk after being captured and said he had planned to carjack someone with it in the next 24 hours to try and break out of the search perimeter.

Details/facts please. We need to fact check this.

I’m not the PP who posted about carjacking but I heard it last night on CNN.

What was the point of the police cutting open his sweatshirt? In front of the media too?
Verifying his identity via tattoos?

He had handcuffs on.

They probably wanted to make sure there was nothing hidden in his clothes, plus it may be protocol to document distinguishing marks when you take someone into custody.

Was it his sweatshirt or one he had borrowed?

The media was up in the sky.

Police cannot control what they captured.

This came out during an interview with the supervisor of the US Marshals.

He told authorities that his plan was to carjack someone and go to Canada because it had become too hot for him in PA.

I am astonished by the quotation from his mother, that he was just taught how to survive in difficult situations and is not a danger to anyone.

Except maybe the two people he slaughtered....

Mothers. Seriously.
