Why can't police find the escaped prisoner in Philly?

This guy has been on the run for 10 days. With all the media attention, police attention and surveillance cameras, how is he managing to elude capture? Can somebody explain this to me?

Because he went immediately into a thick wooded area that’s really difficult to search.

There’s also an escapee on the run here near GW.

Did you see the video of his escape? Don’t get me wrong - I want him to be caught but that was an impressive escape

I know the area well. He's not hanging out in the woods. There are tons of expensive houses in that area. He may have found a vacant one, or a shed or a pool house or a guest cottage, WFH studio, etc. and is chilling.

He's probably spending his days in a pool.

Meanwhile the idiot cops are spending tons of $$, blocking roads and flying their toys around constantly. It's shameful. Just imagining how excited they are for this to be !!happening!! so they don't have to do their normal jobs of bullying people is kind of gross.

He is only 5 feet tall, he's blending in with all the elementary school kids

There are 1.5 million people in Philly. The police only need to ask each one if they are escaped prisoner. Simply really.

I guess his sentencing will be longer once captured...much better to stay in an American jail than be extradited to Brazil mian jails sooner than necessary

Seriously after watching that there’s a part of me that’s rooting for him. That was awesome.

It's not in Philly. Not the PP, but I know the area well, too. It's Chester County. It's 40 miles west of Center City, or about an hour, maybe just under. I saw one report that said he'd been at Longwood Gardens!

He stabbed his ex-girlfriend 38 times in front of her young kids, but okay ....

Grow up. This is not a movie. The bad guy really is the bad guy.

He was already serving life. How is he getting food? Is someone helping him?

It’s a brave choice hanging out in Chester County. True there are more places to hide, but he’s going to stick out like a sore thumb every time he shows his not-Lily-white face.

For all the cops that live there I’d expect better in responding to these tips.
