Red air quality, are you limiting activity?

That is foolish, and you win no prizes for it. Run on a treadmill if you can’t bear missing a run. Do you smoke cigarettes? If not, why would you choose to do that?

Really? I’m not easily spooked but my chest is tight and I’ve had to take medication. I’m drinking tea and staying indoors for a few days. Running will be there when the air quality goes up

Do you/have you ever had asthma? That’s what it can feel like. You’re not going to die. I’ve had times where I am sitting at my desk unable to take a deep satisfying breath. Go to a doctor if it keeps up but there’s no need to panic. There are people who feel what you describe on a regular basis during allergy season.

What the hell can be done? I'm panicked, we all should be. And we don't have time to wait. Climate change is an existential threat that simply cannot be ignored.

Where are our leaders?

AI is an existential threat; climate change, not so much.

do you think i should be running air purifiers in the bedrooms tonight? Wondering how much of the particulate gets inside the house (in a drafty older house).

Man I need to remember this comment the next time I'm tempted to take anything anybody on DCUM says seriously.

I don’t think it’s really that big of a deal. I made our lawn guys come and cut the grass and do some mulching and landscaping. They didn’t say anything while they were here all afternoon. I ordered door dash for dinner and it came - no one said anything. We went and played tennis in the evening and had no issue. The kids were playing basketball all afternoon and are fine.
