Horrible air quality today from the wildfires. Are you avoiding activity?
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/the-dc-area-could-see-dangerous-air-quality-on-wednesday-heres-why-and-how-to-stay-safe/3361903/ I just moved a walking meeting indoors and am debating about whether my kids do swim team tonight. |
https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1137012.page No sports outside. Stay indoors. |
My eyes haven’t stopped watering since I walked from the parking garage to my office an hour ago. I’m not going out. My kids Aren’t so lucky - one has to walk a mile to catch a bus to work. |
Yeah - it’s bad out. I went for a short walk this morning and felt like I was inhaling just straight up dust the whole time. |
Yes, moving activities inside and took the dog to daycare so I don’t have to walk her. |
Children need to skip athletics for a few days. |
Ok Jan |
Who is Jan ?? |
It’s horrible. I won’t be going outside again until it’s time to walk the dog. Drove my kid to school and my throat was burning. |
I've been outside most of the morning.
It's really not that bad. This is the wussification of America. Everyone is always looking for a reason for things to be difficult. |
My kids don't do outdoor activities in air quality over 150. We've lived in highly polluted countries and that's our rule. |
I thought they said being outside health benefits outweighs air quality |
Who are "they?" No one reputable says this. |
I walked my kid to school, about 1.5 miles roundtrip. The air smelled horrible but I don't feel any worse for the wear from the walk. I am supposed to do an outdoor bootcamp at 6:30... curious if the trainer cancels. |
West Potomac HS (FCPS) has an outdoor graduation this morning, and it was still a go. |
