This story is getting funnier. Another one of the cabbie's quotes.

The cab driver, Sukhcharn Singh, told NBC’s local New York station that he’d driven the couple but also downplayed the drama. “I don’t think it was in my car, the high speed [chase],” he said. “I think that must have been before, because we were just making left turns and right turns, and that’s it. Because we also got stuck behind the garbage truck for a little bit. And then a cop came and started blasting their horn, and then the garbage truck moved, and that’s how we got out.”

Also, why let it go on for 2 hours? Seems the driver should have pulled over. This wasn’t a mob trying to kill them. It’s horribly invasive, but surely avoiding being photographed after appearing at a much-publicized public event isn’t worth anyone’s life. So stop the car. Surely someone had a phone and could call police?

This. Their strategy should obviously have been to just pull over for the sake of safety. I can't imagine continuing to drive under those circumstances. This seems really strange to me.

Do you really get that vibe from her? I don't. I think she'd be happy to just spend time at home with the kids but she also is really trying with her royal engagements, and it comes across well.

He also noted that while they were in the taxi they were still being persued. Is that the part that you found funny?
