Let's talk about the present...... We have a Commander-In-Chief who has allowed an adversary to fly a spy balloon over sensitive locations in our country as it has breached the US airspace and broken international law. The opportunity to down this balloon was there days ago before it traversed our country. He chose not to do that. Instead, he tried to keep it a secret from the American people. And, we have evidence that Joe (and his family) have taken pretty big payouts from China. So, yes, we have a president who is not making decisions that is in the American people's best interest. |
Literally? Please share your proof with the rest of us. |
And yet here you are… in the fray! |
So I'm confused. Was the balloon traveling over important strategic, populated areas, or was it just traveling over a bunch of cows and squirrels so we should've brought it down? |
I think it is quite clear that this is the work of Spectre |

Sometimes DCUM posters have interesting, constructive, and thoughtful comments. But I was too optimistic when I opened this thread, yes. |
Everyone is contradicting that based on what it later can be used for/carry-it’s potential. This is exactly why they built it, e.g. for nefarious reasons. Otherwise they would just use regular satellite. It is test runs. Particularity with one over Latin America too. |
You understand that unfriendly countries already have satellites and spies doing these things, right? this balloon system was not getting anything that other sources were not and are not, already getting. Amateurs. |
I miss the balloon.

Let's "unconfuse" you. It started out in very UNpopulated, rural areas where it could have easily been downed at no risk. It them traveled all the way across the US to populated, highly secure areas where it scooped up intelligence and communication and transmitted that back to China. At best, Biden's decision NOT to down it shows he is risk-averse and will let our enemies walk all over us. At worse, his decision could mean he is somehow compromised. Neither is good. |
