Anyway, back to the actual topic since this is the Beauty and Fashion forum and not the forum where women tear each other down for life choices….

I really liked the green for something different! There are photos of the event online and other women were wearing relatively unusual shades of green, not just Kate. I thought it was very fun for a change and enjoyed seeing the various ladies’ choices.

I am not a Kate fan but I take a perverse joy in how bad she is at dressing herself. She’s up there with Ivanka for “really? That? Those pieces together? You’re gonna style it like… well, okay.” I love the dress but hate it on her because it fits poorly, but it’s so bad I LOVE IT. If that makes any sense.

I liked that she mixed it up a bit! But more than the color, it was an unusually sexy dress for her. More power to her for having three kids and a body like that!

Do you like the style of any of the royals? I think most of what Kate wears is pretty safe. She took a risk here, so I see why people have mixed opinions, but I am surprised to hear a strong opinion that her style is generally bad. She must have a million coat dresses, can’t say too much either way about those.

DP. I, too, think she should cut her hair. It has little to do with age, and more to do with her choice to style it in those sausage curls. I think straighter styles a bit below her shoulders really look good on her. I’m not a fan, but some of her fashion decisions aren’t doing her any favors.

I assumed that most of her choices were about adhering strictly to some very dated Royal Family dress code. It will be interesting to see how — or if — that changes going forward. I actually quite like some of her more casual and sporty looks.

I don't especially care for Kate, but no way does she reach the level of WTF that Ivanka did over the past several years. If nothing else, she has a much easier body to fit, but also, Kate hasn't gone in for wacky cutouts or inappropriate sheerness or nutty prints or just general kookiness.
