Frankly, I'm not interested in any more "where were you on 9/11" stories. The outrage about this utterly innocuous sound byte is certainly typical for the left. I sincerely doubt Morgan wanted a literal play-by-play of exactly where DeSantis was on 9/11. The answer he gave - a general summing up of where he was IN LIFE - seems much more succinct and appropriate to the conversation. But keep up the faux outrage!
To that point, here is the full, uncut interview. Right around 27:00 is right after the clip ended - and right when they start talking about that time in our country's history. His answer makes perfect sense, but of course, whoever made the clip strategically left out the rest of their conversation. How typical. After watching this interview, I'm liking DeSantis even more. He comes across as smart, personable, humble, and NORMAL. |
Well trump will crush him and get the nomination so oh well |
You sound bright. I don't think Trump will get the nomination. |
You sound bright. I think he will. |
Ugh. Our high school parties were kegs, joints being passed around and make-out sessions. Would have been super weird for a teacher to even be there. |
Well, sure - we had those too. But we also had the family parties, and teachers did indeed often attend them. There was absolutely nothing weird or unusual about it. |
Family parties with teachers? |
DP. I grew up in a small city and several of my teachers & school principals over the years lived in the same neighborhood as I did growing up. It was definitely common for teachers to attend high school graduation parties, and if your teacher was the coach of your sports team in middle school or high school, they might have the team over swimming (practically everyone had an inground pool at home). Also heard of teachers having end-of-year class parties in ES. But for almost all of the events I mentioned above, parents were in attendance. |
Sure. And neighborhood parties, or friends having combined grad parties hosted by their parents. Not sure why this is so incomprehensible to you? |
Can't stand Trump or DeSantis, and I have to agree here. Trump is a cult leader. DeSantis is not. It's the cult members who will be voting in the primary. |
Have you seen the photos? Those weren't the family parties. Lil D is also clearly hiding what he was doing, because he's never said, "Those were family parties," and no one's family, similarly, has come out to say that grandma was there, too. It wasn't just a teacher there with beers and his arms around teenage girls at a party. |

Also, this particular interview didn't make us feel outrage. It actually sort of makes us giggle because you dummies thought DeSantis was going to save you from Trump - but you can see, every time he's unscripted in public, that he's just not there. Maybe his new advisors will teach him how to answer questions like a normal human being, and how to do it without making those weird faces he always makes. He could come back! But right now, he's so over his head. It's wonderful to see. Is that outrage? I don't think so. Schadenfreude. |

See upthread. Youngkin just lost one of his main campaign guys to DeSantis’s PAC. |
