Stop acting like people from other less 'elite' locations wouldn't be stoked to go to G-Prep party. You went there to meet boys! Not to get gang raped...Kavanaugh and his ilk considered these public school girls easy targets.

You're suggesting public school girls threw themselves at rich cocky alpha male boys. "Meet boys"

I was a teenage public school girl from MoCo (though a bit later) and all of my friends thought finding a private school boyfriend was desirable. Looking back on it, I'm not sure why we thought this. Perhaps the allure of the unknown?

Uhhh...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Nope. I was well off and lived in-bounds for Churchill. My best friend drove a Porsche to school.

Then she had some bad friends.

Girls were given alcohol...
I'm sorry, but as a woman, does anyone here believe girls would go to these HS parties if there was no alcohol?

You people are a joke.

I'm not laughing.

Apparently the Holton yearbook was full of references to alcohol and sexual activity just like the G-town Prep yearbook. These girls were willing participants in the scene, not victims.

Are you saying that because a teenage girl wants to have sex sometimes it is okay to rape her? PLEASE BE CLEAR.

The raft of lawyers and money those boys had at their disposal would scare away the most determined public school girl. Kavanaugh's mother was a judge! She's being derided now in 2018! In 1981 she would have blasted into the ground if she tried to report those rich boys.

If the things she said happened actually happened, SOMEBODY would have gone to the police.

Woah. TRO time. Shit's about to get real now.

Merkley’s lawsuit emphasizes “three acts of direct interference” in which the senator says Trump, some Senate leaders and lawyer William Burck concealed documents from the U.S. Senate. Merkley said these documents are necessary for senators to fulfill their duty and provide advice on the nominee.

Merkley said the documents are from Kavanaugh’s three years as White House Staff Secretary and Kavanaugh’s time as a lawyer in the White House Counsel’s Office under President George W. Bush.

The lawsuit seeks to end the interference from the executive branch and that the Senate withhold its vote on the confirmation until all Kavanaugh’s records are released and the Senate has time to review them.

Why is this happening at the 11th hour?

Because nothing else has worked.

BINGO!

Yeah, good point ha

In high school I was very interested in college guys. I thought college was sort of like Dead Poets Society, but you know, hopefully without the suicide.

Nothing to do with money or intelligence.

The college I went to was nothing like Dead Poets Society. No one stood on desks reciting Whitman. But I majored in a STEM area so that could have something to do with it.

Teenage girls are funny and very few are motivated by money.

Hey now. I'm a Dem who believes Ford. Don't hold Weinstein up as some champion for liberals please! Unlike the GOP, Dems will take down these abusers: Franken Weinstein, Rose, etc., just as fast and hard as they go after GOP offenders. Dems always give the victim the benefit of the regardless of the party affiliation of the accused. When the evidence SCREAMS out for investigation as this case does, any one of conscience should be appalled that it is not being investigated.

You must not have been a high schooler in 1982. At my university, someone tried to report a gang rape at a frat house in 1985 and all that happened was the frat house got a one-year suspension of their charter and the woman left college in a cloud of shame.

Read that, for real. No sarcasm or whatever. This is how high school works. Insecure kids who want to be accepted + parents that will do anything to protect the future of promising young boys = rape culture.

Ashley Kavanaugh should be a loud voice for a FBI investigation. I would want to know the truth one way or another if I were her.

If you found out the your husband had been falsely accused of doing this, how would you feel?
