Hammers is a good option for the high school player who wants to play better in highschool but is not very interested in playing in college.

VLC has helped with recruiting in the past. Whether they can continue to do so remains to be seen

Truth is that the club does not get a player recruited the player gets a player recruited. All the past VLC players probably would have gone D1 if they played for Hammers. If a player can make a top showcase team UA/Nike attend top events: NLF, NXT fall event, and ball out during a prospect camp, they will get recruited. A player will get an extra bump if they play for a top private school and attend NHSLS and maybe get a big time HS game that a college coach will watch. It has just been the case that these players did not show up at Hammers/Team VA tryouts in the past. The VLC kids need to play well and they will get recruited

I am hoping the 2027 VLC kids do well. But, I am curious what VLC will do about building a 2028 team. Especially with the 2028 kids going off to several over programs.

I wonder if STJ has a 2028 team? 2030 team took a few from VLC and Hammers.

It's not that hard to get a team going with good coaching and taking advantage of other clubs' issues. Also it's always easy to take from the 2nd team.
1. VLC can take from Hammers, which has issues
2. VLC can take some from ML, NL, and DCE, especially from their 2nd teams.
3. Top Caliber has 2 2028 teams, the 2nd team is potentially a target

VLC's 2023 and 2024 teams did fine. Its "weak" 2025 team needs to prove itself.

I think the issue for 2028 VLC is that there is NO team for a whole season. It is going to take some actual work for them to get back on the map.

Any word on what the 2027 looks like? I would think that the 2028 team will follow in their footsteps

All I heard is that several Hammers/Team Virginia kids have gone over.

Haven’t heard of a single VLC 2025 commit yet. Any word on recruiting?

I think a middie committed to VMI.

This class could turn out as the fewest number of recruits in the last 10 years, beating Class of 2021, which only had 2-D1's and 7-D2/3's.

This could also be the start of little to no recruits in the future...

Correct. They have been working hard to promote them on social media. I figure they will all be late commits after this summer if at all. They where not a very good team at all!

I wouldn't really worry about 2 very bad 2028 MS teams folding.

HS teams: 2025 recruiting is troublesome. 2026 is supposed to be a good team so its fall performances will be interesting to see. 2027 finally got a team back together and will be interesting.

Why did the 2027 team fold the year before? Then 2 x 2028 teams fold the following year? That looks like a management issue to me.
