2025 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

Wasn't comparing schedule to SJC. Was simply observing that Landon's schedule isn't on par with Landon's talent or coaching and only has one team from DCs other strong conference.

I believe they are clearly the best and best coached team in the area and think they could be a top 10 or top 5 national team if their schedule afforded the chance.

Assuming you mean they should travel to play highly ranked teams out of town? That’s what these teams all do for spring break which when they - players, families, coaches - can do that. And even then it’s definitely a sacrifice for some. These kids are in school and in theory that is the first priority. Not traveling all over in search of ‘better’ teams to play lacrosse against.

You are delusional if you think this is a top 10 or top 5 National Landon team.

Come play in the MIAA, they’d prob have at least 2 - 3 losses on their record

DeMatha is better than SJC.

Don’t understand the obsession that cadets are the team to beat in the WCAC.

SJC might be in trouble. Ince leaving for Saint Stephen’s was a very good OC and was a major recruiter for Speaks.

And don’t be shocked if Urick is pushed out from Prep this summer and the Lil Hoyas go all out to lure Speaks over to a Rockville. Dane Smith at GC also might be a potential candidate.

Historically Landon, GP, and STA have played the Stags on a routine basis.

Lastly, GZ is getting healthy at the right time. I fully expect them to take it to SJC on Friday night.

At this point I’d expect anyone to crush SJC….

SJC hasn't been crushed all season...

Pick up the phone Wes!

Never seen a program that continues to ride the coattails from a team that played 3 years ago.

You can't get 2022 out of your head. All I said was SJC has been crushed this season.

Sounds like you have the obsession...

C'mon. We beat MSJ and Gilman. We run the MIAA.

Focusing on Landon bc they are this year's #1 is okay, but a good look at the other top teams doesn't show much much for them. SJC losing most of their ooc games says they schedule too tough. GZ played probably the toughest schedule and they are under .500. DeMatha played nobody. GP a couple of tough ones but the rest should have been won on paper. Bullis and GC are playing teams from MIAA B division.

I agree with the above. Let the reclass academies take up the travel mantle. The local schools are doing a pretty good job.

15-4, something like that. Good bounce back, guys getting healthy for GZ at the right time. Friday should be a good measuring stick vs SJC.

Same to be said about SJC. They returned two yesterday. Any the main event MD Commit expected to return for Friday.

Bingo. The Bears are the best in DC, but they might not get even one win vs Spalding, Calvert Hall, McDonogh, Loyola Blakefield or Boys Latin.

WCAC playoff picture shaping up.

Here's what the seedings will likely be (PVI has one remaining game vs McNamara, I'm assuming a win there. SJC plays GZ, could go either way. Heights wins the tiebreaker over Ryken due to head-to-head):

If SJC wins v GZ on Fri:
1-DM
2-SJC
3-GC
4-GZ
5-PVI
6-Heights

First round would be Heights (6) @ DM; PVI (5) @ SJC (2); and GZ (4) @ GC (3).

If GZ wins v SJC on Fri:
1-DM
2-GC
3-GZ
4-SJC
5-PVI
6-Heights

First round would be Heights (6) @ DM (1); PVI (5) @ GC (2); and SJC (4) @ GZ (3).

Feel free to check this but I think I got it right. Interesting situation for St John's (if the above is correct) -- if they don't win Friday at Gonzaga, they'll have to come back and play Gonzaga again four days later on 5/6.

Yeah, c'mon. Landon can only drive 1 hour to play the bad MIAA teams. But they couldn't possibly drive 1 hour to play top tier MIAA teams. Look, Landon AD and coaches knows what they are doing. They're the Boise State of lacrosse. If they actually played top teams they'd lose badly and be out of the conversation. Instead, you're still talking about them. Only Bullis has a chance to end Landon's run. If they don't, congrats to the Bears for being repeat DMV champs!

All 10 WCAC teams make playoffs. Quarter finals start after play-in round. QF matchups: 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, and 4 v 5.

Not the best in Dc. or in MD. IAC lax and sports are a joke overall.
