Sullivan’s base will be other people at Centreville who don’t want to get moved to Westfield and think anything less than an expensive renovation and expansion of CVHS to 3000 seats is an insult.
It’s really other current School Board members who ought to be demanding that the CVHS expansion be scaled back but we aren’t hearing anything from other Democrats on the SB like Robyn Lady and Kyle McDaniel who claim to care about fiscal responsibility. But they aren’t, and they need to be voted out next year. |
Yikes. I wasn't questioning the truthfulness of your post but I hadn't dug around to find her comments about this. I just did and you're right. I see no reason anyone zoned for Westfield should vote for either of these candidates. |
Ohh I don't have access to that. Thanks, though. Feel free to cut and paste anything interesting
|
| Not my part of the county but I always considered Centreville and Westfield basically the same. Who knew the Centreville people considered themselves so superior to the Westfield people? Kind of crazy. |
| Is Dixit even running again? This Sullivan person seems to suggest more expensive, discriminatory and stupid facilities choices in our future. |
People generally do not care to be moved out. Exceptions: Westfield- The people currently being moved out of Westfield are not upset with Westfield, but do feel disconnected from the school because of the awful distance and separation from the rest of the Westfield community. South Lakes= The Fox Mill group has complained about IB for years and years. They are also the only group at Carson that is sent to South Lakes (split feeder issue.) Chantilly- The Oak Hill community is very happy with Chantilly and would likely be happy to stay there. However, they know that the school is too crowded. Chantilly is very convenient--which is another reason they are happy there. However, Skyview is even more convenient. The uncertainty of the rollout of the school has been the only concern. Remember, the SB was playing with all sorts of options, when people just want a traditional high school. And, the community is smart enough to know that they would be assigned to Skyview no matter what. |
She does have some good issues listed on her website. However, she has now lost me with her support of Walney Village. If she understood the whole community, she would have been wise to wait until the boundary was voted on by SB to start campaigning. I live in the Skyview study area. I don't think we have ever had a SB member from this area. Kathy Smith (Chantilly)looked out for Poplar Tree and played with this area any time there was a boundary study --she moved Navy out of Chantilly and pulled multiple strings to support Poplar Tree. Stella Pekarsky lives, i think, in the Centreville area. And, of course Seema we all know is in Centreville. Gee, even the Chantilly reps on BRAC were from the Poplar Tree area--or, at least, that part of Chantilly that borders Centreville. Not sure about Tom Wilson, but he was not there long. |

Molly Sullivan talks a lot but says so little. Her Facebook comments on issues are a bunch of word salad.
She’s also changed her name to run for office which is just weird. |
| Regardless of what you think about the actual nuts and bolts of the situation, publicly supporting the Walney Village peolle but saying nothing about the poor kids being yanked out of your own kids school shows a real lack of political acumen/savvy/strrategic thinking. |
You are right. Good luck telling that to Molly “my new nickname to run for office is Sully” Sullivan. She seems to be a know it all. |
Agree with this. I don't know how she's different from Dixit in that regard. Is there anyone else running? Also, is anyone running against Lady or McDaniel? |
+1. She seems like a loose cannon. Talks a lot -no substance. She shows up to meetings with incorrect data and seems to have issues with all the school board members, FCPS staff, and the Board of Supervisors. |
| She changed her last name? What? |
She changed her name to " Sully". |
