He may well abstain or vote against the Skyview-related boundary changes, but it won't matter. He's in the minority bloc that gets outvoted by the ruling junta that typically goes along with whatever Reid wants and includes Seema Dixit, Sandy Anderson, Robyn Lady, Kyle McDaniel, Karl Frisch, Marcia St John-Cunning, and Tom Dannan.

Actually, the Skyview boundaries make sense--except that IMHO it should have been Crossfield rather than Fox Mill because of the proximity issue. But, Fox Mill is very close to Skyview, as well. It's just that it is also close to South Lakes and Crossfield is not close to Oakton--no matter what the claim is by some.

What does not make sense is the Walney area being exempt when it is exactly halfway between schools and some already go to Cub Run.
I have no idea what makes sense from Centreville, but I do know that it does not make sense to take the closest neighborhood to Centreville and one of the poorest and send it to Westfield.

However, and I guess I am beating a dead horse, I cannot fathom how they could send Chantilly Mews to Westfield. This may be the worst decision in this whole process.

The decisions on the new Westfield boundary are so comically bad that everyone on here actually is in complete agreement on them, which never happens on here on any topic. There is pretty much total consensus on all the changes:

1. Everyone agrees Chantilly Mews should stay at Franklin/CHS and not be moved to Stone/Westfield. (Is there even one person anywhere who thinks this is a good idea? How did they get moved in the first place?)
2. Everyone agrees the balance of Cub Run + all the Walneys and that part of Brookfield should be at Westfield
3. Everyone agrees the Bull Run apartments that are closer to Centreville should stay at Centreville.

Those are literally all the changes made to Westfield total (besides the initial moves to Skyview which all make sense).

Westfield is losing a bunch of middle class neighborhoods!

1. NO. Everyone I've spoken to feels Chantilly Mews should be Brookfield, Rocky Run, and Chantilly. Any neighborhoods on that side of Route 50 should be Rocky Run or Stone, not Franklin or Carson.

I think pp meant the only middle class area proposed being added to Westfield after all the other areas were moved to Skyview.

There are like three or four middle schools closer to Chantilly Mews then Stone. Absences will go way up for both the middle and high school aged kids since they cant get to Stone of WFHS without a bus.

I think they might move the Brookfield kids back out, but that will leave Westfield with maybe 1850 kids and I don't think they will move anyone else is (they SHOULD but they are craven). And that's IF they don't cave to the Cub Run/Walney Village People. If they cave to them, Westfield will be down to 1700, which is Lewis levels.

Are Westfield families planning to sign up for the public hearing and register their dissatisfaction with the likes of Dixit, Sandy Anderson, Lady, and McDaniel?

Disgruntled posters complaining on this forum won’t move the needle one bit. You need to show up in large numbers and shame these people while the cameras are rolling. And give interviews afterwards to any reporters with a microphone and a camera crew.
