There are three teams, they are the three ECNL teams. The 7 GA teams will be nice alternatives for girls who want to play in college anywhere, have shorter commutes, or be multsport athletes. Can we please see the forest from the trees. Reruitment season spoke this all out very plainly ECNL won.

Who are the 7 GA teams?
1) LS
2) NVA
3) McLean
4) SYC
5) STJ
6) Revolution
7) ???

Arlington has 2011s
VDA has 2009s

That is all these clubs have produced….in their entire existence in ECNL.

Just think about that.

Define produced? Look at the 2025 recruited players from the ECNL teams here versus the GA teams and tell me they didn't produce.

it's true, top 100 clubs with most D1 college commits list as of this week. for 2026 clubs with 4 or more players only 11 GA clubs cracked this list. That's pretty bad, doesn't indicate that they are taking over anything.

If SD Surf wanted a 2nd boys or girls team they could have had one years ago. Likely in whatever league they choose to play in. What keeps Surf in ECNL is Surf Cup Sports which is the part of Surf that runs what seems like 20+ tournaments a year on the Polo Fields. Which happen to be highly attended by ECNL clubs.
