Fl Premier, Tampa Bay and West Florida all within 30 minutes of each other. Then you have Fl West, Orlando City and FKK all about 1.5 hours away. seems strange but who knows. they need a florida girls ecnl conference but they can't seem to get the teams right and it seems like the ecnl teams in the Atlanta area are stopping (not sure I understand that dynamics) a florida conference from being formed.

I suspect Tampa Bay and Orlando City will probably move to GA next year since there Boys are MLSnext teams. Jacksonville would be the next ECNL girls team to watch since they have MLSNEXT boys

ECNL has let clubs run the show for a long time, and has stopped competition from joining.

They should promote a few RL FL clubs.

Or they could follow the boys model.
Atlanta doesn’t want to allow a Florida conference because that means TopHat gets in to the SE and would possibly have two teams. Concorde Fire and United Futbol Academy don’t want that happening.

I think FL parents and GA parents would love for league games to NOT be a plane ride away. Make a FL league and a SE league where you can drive to the games. That would be great.

It also sounds like both GA and ECNL are looking to make this happen.

Perfect! Something the two mortal enemies can actually agree on!

Will be interesting to see what happens when mls really puts their foot on the neck of some clubs

I’d be annoyed too. Tryout and pay deposits for one thing only to learn later on it’s being switched because of something to deal with boys teams

RE: the bolded above....aren't people on this forum cheering GA for doing the same here? LS, NVA, StJ and Rev are all within 10 minutes of each other. SYC and McLean less than 30 away. If you add in Arlington (like folks are alluding to next year) you'll have 7 teams within 45 minutes of each other in NOVA.

Different. GA is allowing clubs to join.

there are already 8 teams in ECNL Girls FL. that should be a conference already. there are at least 3 teams you could add: Coastal Rush, Team Boca, Sunrise Surf (Miami area) and probably drop FL West from ECNL Girls. that would be a 10 team conference. Miami area should be able to handle 3 ECNL teams. they currently have FC prime, a very strong club, add Sunrise Surf and another team

Sounds like a super competitve league! NOT

With the 3 ECNL teams in the mix thats 10 "elite level" teams. Wake up folks we all know darn well there are not 110 starters over 10 teams that have the talent to really compete outside of this northern va. bubble. 10 teams is ridiculous, we are all being played to the rate of 10k a year for a empty dream.

There are three teams, they are the three ECNL teams. The 7 GA teams will be nice alternatives for girls who want to play in college anywhere, have shorter commutes, or be multsport athletes. Can we please see the forest from the trees. Reruitment season spoke this all out very plainly ECNL won.

To be fair I don’t think ECNL will pull any major clubs this year

Arlington has 2011s
VDA has 2009s

That is all these clubs have produced….in their entire existence in ECNL.

Just think about that.

Teams 3-5 have no business going to playoffs…..but I digress

Thought about and...Arlington is mid we know and VDA will fumble the bag at some point betwen San Diego and Richmond

Those teams have all the best talent in the northern part of the state for their age group, the VDA and FVU 2010s are not too far behind interesting to see if that talent gets consolidated further into one team over the next year as well. My point is there are only three teams competing to be elite, really 2 VDA and FVU for now. Everything else is conjecture and noise for U-littles rents to battle over.
