Kamala is actually an excellent orator in places like the judiciary committee. Very sharp, precise and concise. I think the problem was that she couldn’t dumb it down for the masses well. Like it or not, if it can’t be a TikTok, a sound bite, a viral video clip or a meme, many Americans and tune it out. Lawyers are precise. And detailed. That is not the stuff of memes and viral videos (in a good way).

And that’s not necessarily defending her. Whether I like it or not, it’s a skill a politician needs in 2024. Capturing complex policy is a soundbite or viral video. She didn’t have it in 2020.

On the contrary, considering Biden’s age, even during the first term, it was quite possible she’d become a president. Most of the people voting would have had that in mind.

This is the ONLY thing she may be able to coherently discuss. She certainly cannot talk about her work as border czar. Or about how the Biden/Harris admin saw the worst inflation in years and voters are still suffering from the high prices.

I pulled a bunch of stats on support for Democratic policies on the depressed Democrat thread and something like 68% of Americans think abortion should be legal in all or most circumstances, 70% think climate change is real and we should be addressing it, etc. Democratic policies are very popular.
