Ummm, the previous poster mentioned Katie Rost, not Katie's mother. Katie's mother was not on the show so your comment is irrelevant.

While that may be true, Potomac could stand to have someone who has the background of Katie. Wendy does not do this for me. Even Ashley who grew up poor is more appealing and has social grace that Wendy seems to be lacking.

While that may be true, Potomac could stand to have someone who has the background of Katie. Wendy does not do this for me. Even Ashley who grew up poor is more appealing and has social grace that Wendy seems to be lacking.

Katie was in pageants and then did the charity circuit and she married or got engaged to a handful of rich guys. I'm not sure I understand her background to be as impressive as people want to make it out to be.

If you opened the article it just said she lives in a house that might be worth $1.5M. There was no meat to it at all, they just assumed she has a big mortgage (which: maybe?) and created a clickbait title out of it.

That said, does anyone believe there are people on this show *not* for the money? Either it's their full-time job or it's the way they signal boost the businesses that bring in their real money, but it all comes back to money.

No amount of degrees are worth $1.5 in student loan debt. How incredibly irresponsible.

It's also likely not true. It's reported by an estranged family member who ranted that her family is from the wrong side of the tracks, and even the article mentions they have an estimated NW north of $1M. I don't doubt they have huge SLs, but probably more in the $500k range.

Slightly off topic but I haven’t watched this season. Was Wendy an American citizen when she was going to school?(the article says descended from Nigerian royalty and I haven’t watched). If not her SL debt is probably much higher than you would think.

I don't know about her citizen status, but older Nigerians are really into titles. Nigerian royalty should be taken with a grain of salt- a whole bunch of my DH's family have Sir or Lady as one of their many titles, but they are not really royalty. Nor rich.

DP. Just stop. We’ve all seen the video. Candiace was being obnoxious but you don’t physically attack someone who is annoying you - which is what Monique did. No glass was thrown at Monique. Stop pretending Monique was somehow a victim in any way.

Oh my god, this show sounds so trashy. Also, lots of Nigerians are from royal backgrounds - as compared to the European countries. Colonization broke up kingdoms and their respective royal families were displaced but live on.
