1.5 million? She needs to tone down her bragging bc that was clearly not a wise decision to get all those degrees.

I saw that reference too and am not really sure how that is possible. Was she taking out living expenses of 100k per year in school? How could it be that high?

If you opened the article it just said she lives in a house that might be worth $1.5M. There was no meat to it at all, they just assumed she has a big mortgage (which: maybe?) and created a clickbait title out of it.

That said, does anyone believe there are people on this show *not* for the money? Either it's their full-time job or it's the way they signal boost the businesses that bring in their real money, but it all comes back to money.

Not sure why you have such a nasty attitude. The article does not reference the debt related to her house, it implies the debt is from her degrees.

“Although she [Wendy] has more than one gig, Osefo and her husband owe well over seven figures since not all of her jobs are as high-paying as one would think. The reason for the debt, though, may not be as irresponsible as some fans may assume. Osefo, whose net worth is $1.5 million, has student loans to pay, which isn’t too surprising given her extensive education.”

No idea where you got "nasty" from, especially when you're trying to shade a person for taking a job "for the money," but go off. It was a clickbait article. You presented it without context. I provided context. The article I read explicitly mentioned her having to take out a mortgage as a sign she was in debt (https://screenrant.com/real-housewives-potomac-wendy-osefo-debt-shunned/) Toughen up, buttercup.

She did threaten her with a (butter) knife during one of her tantrums last season. However, as bad as that was, it has nothing to do with Monique attacking her this season. The two incidents are completely unrelated. I could see if Ashley gave a statement on Monique’s behalf, attesting to her character, parenting skills, etc. But the butter knife incident should be left out of this.

Side note - as bad as what Monique did was, I have to roll my eyes at how dramatic Candiace keeps making it. She makes it sound like she went through something life-altering. Give me a break. Monique did attack her, but it was pretty much just pulling her hair. Painful, I’m sure, but it’s not like she was “injured.”

It is related, it’s a character statement about Candiace and supports Candiace’s own violent history. Didn’t Monique file charges based on Candiace throwing the glass in Monique’s face?

I hope at the reunion they address Gizelle shoving Monique in the beginning which set her off to then grab Candiace.

What are you talking about? I think Monique has found this thread. None of what you wrote ever happened. No one threw a glass at Monique. When she lunged at Candiace, the table flipped and a drink spilled on her. Gizelle didn’t shove anyone. Nice spin.

Wow, you really didn’t watch the show did you? You’re free to google, but pretty much every article comments that Gizele shoves/pushes/moves Monique which is what set her off to grab Candiace since she thought Candiace did it.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/qj47nd/monique-samuels-real-housewives-of-potomac-respectability-politics-stereotypes

Oh, hi again, Monique. Yes, we all watched the show and saw you attack Candiace and pull on her hair with a death grip. If Gizelle touched you, it was simply to get you to back up and calm down. Trust you to use that as an excuse to start swinging at Candiace.

What you need to do, and what is grossly overdue, is to sincerely and humbly apologize to Candiace and withdraw your stupid countersuit. That’s what an adult would do. Are you an adult, or a spoiled, belligerent, self-involved brat?

Candiace had it coming. She is always in someone's face, but didn't like it when the tables were turned.

If you think physically attacking someone who is merely being annoying is acceptable, you have a lot of growing up to do.

No amount of degrees are worth $1.5 in student loan debt. How incredibly irresponsible.

It's also likely not true. It's reported by an estranged family member who ranted that her family is from the wrong side of the tracks, and even the article mentions they have an estimated NW north of $1M. I don't doubt they have huge SLs, but probably more in the $500k range.

🤷🏻‍♀️Based on the bold and your follow up, seems the assessment that you’re a nasty person was spot on. And someone who jumps to conclusions without context. Also, please learn how the internet works. I’m not the PP “throwing shade”. There are multiple posters here.

I hope you can recover from someone pointing out that a clickbait title was not, in fact, supported in the text of the article. Praying for you.

I really doubt that. At the grad student level, many courses of study are free or low cost because you get teaching or research assistantships and stipends, especially if it's in a department that conducts research. Besides, her PhD and one masters is from Rutgers -- a state school -- and it even says she was the first black woman to get a PhD in that field from Rutgers. I'm sure she got plenty of support so the department could get bragging rights about being diverse.

If they are really in that level of debt, I'd say it's due to lifestyle choices not education costs.

That article makes no sense. It just says she has debt of $1.5M. Included in that is her house, SLs, etc. Hell, I have $1.5M in debt. I own 2 homes in DC and have student loans. Most of us have mortgage debt so even though I don't like Wendy, it's a mischaracterization.

I give Ashley a pass since she is going after Candiace. Candiace refuses to aploogize for anything. She just won't say the words "I 'm sorry." Its a character flaw.

Candiace and the new girl aren't going to last long. To be honest this should be Candiace's last season, she bring nothing to the show except misery.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Candyass has turned into her mother and is just vile. Her disgusting comments toward the other women are over the line. I can't stand her.

I see Monique’s paid bloggers have found DCUM.

I don’t like Candice, but do you really have to lie to get your point across. Monique started that fight. You don’t flip another woman’s hair/wig and then violently pull their face down on the table by the hair. A glass was not thrown at Monique. And Ms Samuelson am tired of your paid bloggers appearing all over SM to rewrite the narrative.

Karen and Monique snagged their MRS degrees. That’s all they ever wanted.
