Anonymous wrote:POY is going to be interesting call for Patriot District. Robo A? Robo G? WP M? WP G?

Which one of these players was pivotal for their teams success?

Goalie

WP goalie

While the WP goalie is good Robo scored 18 against WP so I think it would tilt towards Robo here

Agreed. POY should go to a Robo player given district game score differentials (Goalie or A)

Looks like Concorde awards rolling out

Robo is a phenomenal team because they have many amazing players. Score differential isn’t due to just one player. So how do you pick a POY from a team like that. So tough. Easier to pick from a weaker team because the player stands out more.

What? Pick the POY from a weaker team because it's easier. Just pick the best player. If the best player is on Robinson, then pick her. If the best player is on a different team, then pick her. If you watch enough lacrosse, you know the best player on the field. The coaches know it. The players definitely know it. Even spectators that are paying attention will know it.

Unfortunately, I think this happens. Great players from the best teams often get overlooked.

So phenomenal. Don’t forget, they aren’t doing so hot this year. Phenomenal doesn’t lose. Maybe they are good in the district, but Robo won’t make it to states and will have a very tough time in regionals.Phenomenal is laughable.

All District teams are mostly BS as they come down to politics and votes. Players from weaker teams get nominated because they are the only player their coach nominates. Teams like Robo or Madison have more players to select from so their players get slighted.

Robo will win districts, regionals and make it to the state tournament. Mark it down.

Well, duh. But oddly enough, they would probably have difficulty making it to states this year in Region A and B. And they definitely wouldn’t make it in Region D.

Disagree here for Region A and B. LAX numbers has Robo much higher than second ranked team in B and between Deep Run and Cosby in A. D is very competitive this year!

Yep. Seen this countless times. The best player on a weak team gets District 1st Team. They wouldn’t even be off the bench if they came from a strong team like YT, Oakton , Madison, etc.
