I really cannot tell what Monique Judge is rambling on about wrt the 1st Amendment. Ben Crump is no idiot, which is why he took his post down. Monique seems to believe she’s immune from the defamation suit because she still believes she is telling the truth that Comrie is a “thief” who was “trying to get the boys killed”.

The best argument for Monique’s defamation defense now is that she is now saying is that even if the boys were hassling her and she wasn’t a thief, Comrie was still *wrong* to yell for help because that risked the boys life. So that would be more of an opinion, not a fact.

But unfortunately Monique is a bit of a dummy (in my opinion) and has not really clearly retreated to opinion or retracted her earlier statements of fact.

Also possible- Monique truly believed Comrie falsified the receipts and is lying.

I think she does really believe it, because she’s talked herself into it, and her TikTok comment sections are full of agreement/egging her on.

You seem confused. She’s not pursuing legal action against the people she got in an argument with (the boys). She’s bringing action against the media outlets that defamed her. And that’s the litigation donors are supporting.
