That is because you now have Democrats voting for Youngkin and the issue for them is Education. This will be the main talking point for the next few weeks.

See more signs than I have ever seen in McLean too. Will see how it turns out. McAuliffe still has the edge.

The problem is these voters are being duped. Youngkin will not help education. CRT is not a thing, although including multiple perspectives in history is a thing. Texas passed an anti-CRT bill like Youngkin proposed and now books that include perspectives on race are being pulled because someone might feel bad that a black person had rough experiences.

There is a better way to express your dissatisfaction with your school board and it's voting for different people for school board, not for Governor.

Exactly.

People are frustrated. But the solution is NOT an evangelical, Trump Republican.

"Trump is gone. He lost the election. It’s time to get back to grown up discussions."

Trump is not gone as he continues to exert influence on the policies and rhetoric that the Republican party, including Youngkin engage in. Youngkin rallies included a pledge to the flag that was used on January 6, Youngkin rallies screamed about the 2020 election being stolen, Youngkin is pledging "election integrity" based on Trump's lies about the 2020 election. And the same crap is happening nationwide with the Republican party.

Spot on. Trump is still the leader of the GOP.

The GOP is ramping up to new levels of crazy each year. We definitely need someone to stand up to that. Youngkin bent over without hesitation to get the nomination and Trump endorsement.

McAuliffe has already shown us he can block GOP crazy.

Yes Trump is still relevant in the context of discussing the Republican Party and conservative politics. But I’m talking about Trump being evoked in the discussion of local policies run by democrats. Accusing members of your own party of being a Trump Supporter because they don’t agree with you isn’t a great way to unite the party.

You’re being vague. How is Younkin’s agenda the same as Trump’s?

Trump and Chase seem to think so.

“I hope Glenn gets in there and he’ll straighten out Virginia, he’ll lower taxes, do all of the things we want a governor to do.”
-Trump

“We are going to do something about election integrity. I know what’s going on. The Youngkin campaign knows what’s going on. We are watching like we never watched before."
-Chase

So does Youngkin:
Youngkin will make election integrity a top priority.

Winsome Sears may be a gun nut, but Ayala brings absolutely nothing to that ticket. Terry can’t be happy.

Winsome Sears is a legal immigrant, a veteran, a business owner and someone who gives back to her community through volunteer work. Frankly, I am surprised at those who try to diminish her candidacy

She’s still a gun nut.

And Terry McAuliffe will always be the Clinton’s bag man whose signature achievement was giving voting rights back to convicted felons

That’s GD right and we’re F**king proud of it.

Wow. Iif Terry gets elected again, maybe he can give the convicts their 2nd Amendment rights back this time?

**crickets**

Of course not! You craven Leftists will support a sketchy and unpopular effort that will bag you more votes. Anything for a win! Anything to move The Agenda forward!

(On a certain level, I have to give it to Terry on this one. The Clintons made sure to lock up as many “super predators” as possible back in the ‘90’s. Now, these convicted felons in VA have their voting rights back courtesy of Bag Man Terry, who will have them voting D for the rest of their lives. You Democrats played that demographic like a fiddle!)

I wouldn’t say “a lot”. Just the usual suspects who had Trump signs.

Thanks. I know we have some R’s on my street, but it feels like more than last cycle as I drive around the neighborhood. Some who I didn’t know their politics before the sign pop’d up.

Same in my NOVA neighborhood. It wasn’t socially acceptable to be a Trump supporter, but Youngkin is not Trump. The mishandling/priorities of Democratic school boards throughout NOVA has now made it more “acceptable” to support Youngkin because parents want to send a message. My opinion based on neighborhood conversations.

And I can see from my neighbors that almost *every* Korean family (and there are a lot) has Youngkin/Pyon signs up. I did not see any of these families display campaign signs for Trump.

My neighbors are Asian but not Korean and are pretty devout/religious Catholics. No Trump (or Gillespie) signs from them but they do have a Youngkin sign now. Definitely going to be interesting what happens in a few weeks.

I have friends in Arlington who have been canvassing for McAuliffe. They’ve said repeatedly that they are having a hard time getting Dems to knock on doors for him. Most interactions with potential voters turns into a discussion on how Biden/Harris duo has been a failure and they have “buyer’s remorse”.

LOT of Youngkin signs here in Alexandria (Old Town and direct environs). Most of the folks with Ish Boyle and Youngkin signs are Trumpers anyways.

That is us in Arlington. Voted for normalcy and a moderate, and all we see is chaos. Biden is a shell of a leader being pushed to adopt a Progressive agenda that I do not support. Damn right I'm doing a protest vote for Youngkin against the Democratic school policies the past 18 months.

The problem with Yougkin is that he will leave too many decisions in the hands of local school boards.

McAuliffe is taking a stronger hand, starting with deprioritizing neighborhood schools in favor of blending races and socioeconomic classes more evenly. There will be no more excuses once we have state-mandated diversity.

Asian voters will in the majority vote tmac but the gap will be closed big time.

Asian voters are sick of tranny talk and crt.

Just telling you how it is.
