St. Mary's coach is an embarrassment. There's no way that team plays anywhere close to their potential.

That’s been the rap on St Mary’s for years just win on talent not coaching. Now all the Annapolis talent is heading to Spalding. Not good

Who is running DM?! It will be a long year for them.

Matt Miller is the Head coach. Miller ('08) was a goalie on three DeMatha championship teams.

According to their Instagram Post: DM brought in a new assistant coach - the newest addition to the DeMatha Lacrosse Varsity Program, Coach Mike Bonanni.

Coach Bonanni is a DeMatha Class of 1993 alum, in the storied DeMatha Hall of Fame, was a 4-year starter and 2x team Captain at The University of a Maryland, played in three National Championships, was an All-American, on the All NCAA Tournament Team as well as Defenseman of the Year during his tenure at Maryland.

He has a solid core defense (if they can stay healthy), goalies and a LSM. He needs to find some SSDMs. The team has no depth. Phil Lipka is now running the offense and the rumor is that Dave Mitchell is returning as OC once he is able to return from his other hip surgery.

It should be interesting in the WCAC. The DM and GC game should be entertaining next Wednesday.

If GC plays like they did against Bullis, as if there’s nothing to lose, I think they can beat SJC. Just got to limit turnovers and play offense for longer possessions/better shots.

Wes got a little full of himself with the schedule he put together.

SJC has little offense this year.

And Yes, I do think Good Counsel will give them a very close gsme.

SJC will be just fine. Out of conference schedule is brutal. Biggest issue is faceoff. Lack of 50/50 chances is very concerning. No possessions= little offense. Young defense learning vs. nationally ranked opponents. Will be battle tested come WCAC Play.

Don’t win games by the number of D1 players you have on roster - especially when they don’t even play. Only thing for sure is they will look good during warmups and celes. Culver played fall ball like it was a natty. Number of DC teams can compete. GZ, SJC, GP are 3.

This didn't age well. Culver could've beat SJC by 25 if they wanted.

Fall ball and summer ball are petty meaningless.

Results matter in the Spring when you play NCAA rules, 4 quartes, start / stop time etc.

The cadets were embarrassed yesterday. Period!

Overreacting to yesterday’s games, could the right ranking be:

1. Landon
2. Prep
3. Bullis
4. Gonzaga
5. SJC
6. PVI
7. GC
8. STA
9. SSSAS
10. DM

PVI is better than SJC this year!

IAC appears to be stronger than the WCAC this Spring.

Pvi lost to a VA public. If they win the WCAC or are even in the final, dc lax is in the toilet.

Not quite. PVI lost to a team that got beaten soundly by a VA public. Bad look though.

I would agree with those rankings above when you look at common opponents.

Landon's close-defense, despite not having any D1 or D3 commits, has improved tremendously since the start of the season. Saint Mary's couldn't get anything going yesterday and Haveford's offense on Saturday looked way out of sync against the Bears. If Landon's offense can play more consistent and if their players can learn to shoot, I fully expect the Bears to be back in the IAC title game.

On a different note, after watching Haveford on Saturday against the Bears, I would have thought McDonogh would have beat the Fords. Just goes to show you, anything can happen. I also caught the 2nd half stream of the GZ - BL game last night and Eagles showed they have the athletes to run with the best teams in the country. The game last night could have gone either way, BL goalie made some fantastic saves down the stretch. If GZ can stay focused, I fully expect them to be back in the WCAC ship in May.

Landon does have 1 d3 commit on defense...Gettysburg and 1 that has d1 offers and top d3 offers.

Landon might for real.

I will be interesting to see how the Bears do this weekend against the number one ranked team in Texas, Highland Park.

Highland Park played a close game with Culver, before Culver pulled away mid-way through the 3rd quarter, losing 12-6.

Highland Park is coached by former HOF Duke Coach, Mike Dressler. If you look at his coaching staff, he has assembled an all-star . Greatto see lacrosse finally starting to emerge in Texas and hopefully it spreads down to Houston and Austin areas.

Highland Park knocked of IMG National a week ago so they have proved they can run with the big programs.
