Statistically, it’s much more likely that those suburban mom’s sons will be sexually assaulted than falsely accused of rape or assault. So that’s enough, really.

It was an effort to stop at all costs any Trump nominee that would tilt the court to the right for some time to come. They tried to do that by creating chaos and distractions to force Trump to abandon BK and have this drag out beyond the midterms. And once again, we learn that the party of tolerance and acceptance only tolerates and accepts those who agree with them, and that the party of women is anything but. They didn’t care about Dr. Ford and used, abused, and betrayed her to advance a political agenda. Such despicable, morally devoid people.

The fact that so many Democrats do not seem grounded in fundamental principles of fairness and due process is very, very bad for this country.

WTF? The Dems were pushing for the investigation. A thorough investigation would be fair and just.

GOP has no sense of ethics.

Bork
No, the GOP Senators were the grown ups in the room full of tantruming Democrats.

Meanwhile they were the ones who blocked garland. Fairness and due process? Hah

Just so proud of the Republican conference. Tough, reasonable, and right.

The rights of the accused must always be honored. Trust me, it’s very good that one party fully believes in due process and the presumption of innocence. It would be even better, though, if most Democrats did. This was a very ugly showing by that party. What has happened to them, one wonders. Some probably know better.

He is not entitled to or deserving of scotus where he wields enormous powered over your children and mine. In spite of the hysterical carrying on from the right about innocent until proven guilty which had nothing to do with a job promotion, only a legal proceeding.

I am thinking that if you were up for a big job promotion, and you had been accused of something potentially disqualifying (let’s say it’s an EEO complaint), I am betting that you would hope your employers would start with a presumptions of innocence before they write you off. Or, would you prefer that they automatically disqualify you based on a complaint with no evidence?

Absolutely but aside from the allegations he lied under oath. There are texts to prove as much that the fbi did not investigate. I think he will be impeached.

No he didn’t. And, no he won’t.

Oh, yes he did.

You seriously need to get your head out of your you-know-what. The Republican party has never cared about the presumption of innocence unless it involved a rich white guy. The Republican Party is the party that elected Donald Trump, the guy who ran a full page ad in the New York Times calling for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, despite their innocence. Trump also called for the death penalty for Sayfullo Saipov before he even had a trial, much less proven guilty. The Republican Party is the party whose members shout "Lock her up" about a woman who should be presumed innocent, but isn't by Republicans. It is a party that wants to summarily deport people presumed guilty of entering the country illegally without giving those individuals a trial in which their guilt might be proven (or might not be). It is nice that you have discovered the principle of the presumption of innocence. Hopefully you will adhere to it more broadly going forward than you have in the past.

It may come as a surprise to you, but suburban women also have daughters. The fact that those daughters may be assaulted and then not believed and their allegations not fully investigated cannot be something about which they are happy.

What a joke.

Don the Con cannot stop lying to save his life. Bart was NOT proven innocent.

There has never been a more divisive "President" in my lifetime. He is a disgrace and is delusional. As are you.

No one is sending the guy to jail. This had to be considered for the promotion to scotus. We blew it ans put him on the court. Shame on us.

Out sons are very unlikely to be falsely accused and are much more likely to be abused.

Yes, and sometimes suburban women also have sons and daughters. My hunch is that the Democrats’ lead with married suburban women will decrease somewhat. I’m not exactly sure what you mean by fully investigated. Was there something keeping individuals who had relevant information from contacting Senators or the Judiciary Committee?

They believe what they read on Twitter. It’s a common mistake among the left.

You’re hip-deep in your crock.

The party affiliation of those who most deeply believe in appellate rights for those accused of transgressions and crimes are Democrats. Your repugnant Tepublican representative, Trump, openly told police officers to deliberately smash heads of accused, arrested suspects to police officers at a televised event on Long Island.

Try again, liar.

Your hunch would be wrong. We have had enough. You probably think "creaming elevator protester" is an insult but it is a compliment.

Best meme I have seen about how Dr. Ford was manipulated by the Dems

Photo of Ford superimposed over a Ford Fiesta with the phrase. “ Would you buy a used Ford?”
