Does anyone know what Arlington Red u14 boys will look like next year after kids have been pulled to the DA or left for other teams? Wondering if it will be a skilled team? Any info on that team is appreciated.

Just generally speaking, I don't think there is a sure fire way to predict if any team will be skilled, unskilled, or sorta-skilled...it just varies by season, and since every team has experienced a bit of a mix-up with the birth year thing going into the next season, there's really no way to tell. Just because all the boys were awesome last year in their old age groups doesn't mean they will all be awesome this year in the new age groups. Besides, every season is different anyway.

I think a couple made the DA team. Birth year change is 50/50

Thanks, it is really rolling the dice this year with the birth year thing I guess.

Big with no ball skills. Check. Knicks everyone down. Check.

That's how you win in the younger years.

I have seen kids that can't juggle past 15 and have zero ball skill or ability to read a field on the top fields at U-12.

It.is.painful.to.watch.

Asshole ball hogs are the cup of tea. There is such bad soccer with every kid jacked up like they did lines of cocaine on the minivan dashboard before coming onto the field. Passing and smart movement rate a zero. But, then, you'd have to know what you are looking at and clearly they don't.

My son was the only player juggling during warm ups.

Most players were just standing around shooting the shit.

It is so against the culture he trains with where kids run through a series of warm up drills.

It dawned on me then, these people don't what the fuck is going on.

They don't. That is why our national team sucks. It is then hard to put enough of these kids who really get it together on one team. Uphill battle for good soccer around here.
