Get over it. It’s been known forever and bid on to host this.
It is moved around the state for a reason. If you don’t want to go, several past teams have forfeited games, feel free.

I get why they have to change locations. (Last year finals were at Independence, and the Crosby team had to haul up here after a Friday night game.) My one recommendation would be to change the game time for future finals to accommodate for the ride.

Yes agree on that. If you go to the VHSL website and look at the requirements to host, it’s a show. Need to have a lighted field if any game starts after 3pm? It’s summer and light out past 8pm.

They should award the area by class and region And rotate them. having 5&6 in the same area takes up field space. That way all games can start at 1pm.
Example:
6a in region A- boys and girls at neighboring schools both games at 1p
5a in region C - boys and girls at neighboring schools
4a in Region D - etc.

I get it the tournament needs to move around the state, but at least the stadium should be top tier. NOVA stadiums like Madison and Robinson are built for big games like this. Deep run is nice, however, to make the boys travel so far to play somewhere that isn’t comparable to their home fields after the hard work they have put in is a bit unfair.

Deep Run's Stadium is tiny compared to Northern Virginia. All the Fans have tie sit on the same side (Press Box) as they don't allow fans to side behind the benches. Not that it matters, those stands are only rows deep.
