10-8 Battlefield |
Madison by 4 |
I thought the same. Madison 11-7 |
Assuming it's Robinson and Madison in the Final, the two coaches should tell VHSL that they're playing at a neutral site in Northern Virginia, like Woodson with the big home side bleacher. |
That would be quite a shock |
Ha! Battlefield cannot hold Madison to 8 goals. Madison will win 17-9 |
If Deep Run can beat Robinson they would be hosting at their own school the the championship. |
Robo will be them 19-2 |
Any idea why Battlefield gets to host both Boys and Girls semis today? Guessing region hosting moves around (since both #1 seeds) - but sure seems like it hasn't been up in NVa for last few years. and they should have different for girls and boys. |
Most people would consider Battlefield to be in Northern Virginia. |
In Lacrosse, the High-Seed always is the host, until your get the the State Championship, and those locations have already been determined for years. We knew the State Championship was at Deep Run in 2024 at least 2 years ago.
When two #1 Seeded Teams in their Region, meet in the State Brackets, they too are also predetermined as to where each Region's Seed 1 or 2, goes. This year the Battlefield Team slot is on the top, and Madison is on the bottom, so it s Home Game for Battlefield. It's the same bracket placement for both boys & girls, so again why both Battlefield Teams are home tonight. The slots for the 6A State Tournament in 2025, and where each of the 2 seeds from each of the 4 Regions goes is already set. Doesn't matter if one team beat another in the regular season or not. |
And you assume that the coaches of any sport, much less a "smaller" sport (not Football, Basketball, Baseball as many schools don't have a lacrosse team), can tell VHSL what to do!?!?! I would love to see this!!! LOL VHSL to coaches: "Pound Sand!" |
I agree. VHSL leadership are tools. |
Prediction:
Madison 12, Battlefield 8 |
Robinson 15, Deep Run 5 |
