Mask work,if we were in a school district where mask were not mandated or geographic area,then yes I'd be more concerned. South Carolina for example had a small town only 3 elementary schools 1 middle and high school m, and since starting back a week ago mask optional, 375 kids on quarantine and 110 Covid positive.I'm nervous about it in general,but know risk can be low with proper protocols in place.My kiddo went to camp all summer no cases in his camp.I do think temps should stay in place and daily screening until delta slows down. It hasn't even hut us the hardest yet in our area. People traveled to these places where it is out of control.

I'm assuming the PP is sarcastic in response to all those saying this is no big deal. We still don't ever see the numbers on a regular basis for kids with long covid, myocarditis or other longer lasting implications. Covid itself may only hit my child like a common cold, but if he is fatigued or has memory issues for months that is a big deal. That's the stat I want to see before I'm reassured. We are accepting the risk of in-person school but doesn't mean I'm not very nervous.

I'm PP and I know that, but it is the worry that I have, more so than the extremely rare risk of my unvaxxed child dying.

You do realize that it was an evolving situation that required an evolving plan?

Anyway, there is a LAW so our kids will be 5 days in person unless Northam & the General Assembly change that.
