I don’t think any spice tastes good on its own. It has to be balanced in the right amounts. I love cumin when it’s combined with other spices on chicken.

The everything bagel mix is great on cottage cheese.

For herbs same thing …dill is excellent on fish and some dips or with cucumber or for making pickles but yuck on its own.
