Chill. ECNL has no real reasons to keep dragging their name on the mud with loudon and bryc. It is wise to amend mistakes. And it’s been and being discussed to chop off a bloated and incompetent program like loudoun.

I don't know what this guy is talking about. Perhaps the karma pie FCV is eating as it burned bridges and can't get a bid back into ECNL? Or the karma pie FCV is eating for actively poaching players off other clubs? Or the karma pie FCV is eating for being an arrogant bunch when successful but now facing a fundamental issue and not behaving like 5 yr old spoiled kids who got their candy taken away from them?

An 07 or 08 deciding to stay with FCV is taking a leap of faith that FCV gets ECNL next spring or year after, and that, before then, none of the better players at FCV leave for a ECNL team that provides consistent better competition and a better platform for recruiting in a couple years. Let’s face it. The end is near for FCV, but any player departures would accelerate it. As another poster said, FCV’s only hope is to hold off any player departures and hope they get back in ECNL as soon as possible.

Already happening. Players are putting out feelers and attending practices shopping around.

The savvy parents know there is a first movers advantage here as there are only so many slots available. I’m sure some of the FCV girls could walk into a starting lineup but how many girls are the current ecnl clubs willing to bump off either to the 2nd team or off into CCL land? I can’t imagine that many. Maybe except for bryc

Over half of the FCV 07s starters from this weekend would walk into starting spots on Loudoun 07. The remaining FCV starters would walk into starting spots at VDA, Arlington or McLean. Be careful what you wish for.
