I have a simple math problem for you and your intellect. Which number of goals is higher, 1 or 0?

1. Now one for you: Which flight (for 08) is higher, 2 or 3?

That's not how you spell "ECNL".

You all need to be careful what you wish for... Bobby has to work somewhere. He will be coming to a club near YOU! Heck, he might even be your daughter's coach next year. Then we will see who has the last laugh!! I can not WAIT!

That’d be great. His departure would cause the better players at FCV to leave for other clubs. A consolidation of the better players in the area would be a great thing. Yeah, yeah, some weaker players might lose playing time or get moved down to the second team, but you can’t play scared.

Bobby P to VDA?

Yep. Bring your players with you, son. We will be waiting.

No one will follow Bobby. You will get him and only him. You will actually feel the breeze from the exhalation of relief when he leaves FCV! VDA (Dominion Valley parents and kids) can NOT handle him and his "training".

And Bobby isn't going anywhere to just coach. He would only go somewhere else to be Director.

But the hardcore street hardend foot soldiers from Ashburn could....lol...GTFOH.

...so why is FCV and its parents so desperate to get back in?

And BTW, the rabbit has the gun is not a cartoon phrase. It’s an actually saying. Use your Google. Enjoy

VDA and Arlington were in the 4th bracket and did not make it into the finals. BRYC was in the 5th bracket and finished with 1 win.

I think FCV and Loudoun are both strong clubs that had strong results in a very strong Jeff Cup bracket. 1 goal and all FCV haters want to burn the club down and Loudoun wants to remain the best club ever! Silly to put your kids soccer future into one game.

It's silly to put your kid's soccer future in the trust of a club that leaves ECNL and is desperately trying to get back in.

An 07 or 08 deciding to stay with FCV is taking a leap of faith that FCV gets ECNL next spring or year after, and that, before then, none of the better players at FCV leave for a ECNL team that provides consistent better competition and a better platform for recruiting in a couple years. Let’s face it. The end is near for FCV, but any player departures would accelerate it. As another poster said, FCV’s only hope is to hold off any player departures and hope they get back in ECNL as soon as possible.

Or they are deciding to stay because they are just happy where they're at and the experience and level of competition they face in leagues and in tournaments. Ever consider that?
Can any parent on this forum who has had their kid move to an ECNL team from a non-ECNL club or even from another ECNL team at age 13+ who didn't have an issue with the coaches honestly say they didn't initiate the movement over their kids? I'm curious how many kids initiate the moves even if the coaches are fine v. the parents, and what the reasoning is for moving.

Don't need to look at the patch, 1-0.

FCV, buy or sell?

1. Price has gone up too much too fast. When the price of a company you already hold goes up too soon too fast, you may want to book your profits and move on
2. Was buying into the company originally a mistake?
3. Has the company’s price reached unsustainable levels?
4. Do you need money?
5. Has the company painted itself into a corner and is now at a significant disadvantage vs. competitors?

FCV parents, it’s time to sell....

FCV is Lehman Brothers Holdings around this time circa 2008.

Meaning, for a certain period of time, people will seem to have the upper hand on you. Others may seem to have all of the success, while you seemingly get the crumbs of life.
However, when the tables turn do to persistence, those who were on top looking down on you, must witness you pass them on your move up, “Escalator Style.”

It has to happen because it is the law. Universal Law. Nothing stays the same. It is the Law of Rhythm.
The same thing that makes some one laugh, is the same thing that can make some one cry. Hold tight to the vision and make moves accordingly with precision.

Looks like u15 and older coaches might want to see what the u 13/14 coaches are doing because they seem to fall apart after that point... or even to the McLean coaches.

U13: Loudoun 6th place, McLean 11th, BRYC 13th
U14: Loudoun 1st place, McLean 3rd, BRYC 12th
U15: McLean 7th, BRYC 11th place, Loudoun 12th
U16: McLean 4th, Loudoun 10th place, BRYC 12th
U17: McLean 5th, Loudoun 8th place, BRYC 13th
U18/19: McLean 1st,BRYC 5th place, Loudoun 13th

.... so keep comparing yourself to BRYC if it will make you feel better.

So overall - Loudoun getting ECNL 2 years ago put them ahead of MYS as the top ECNL destination. At the expense of FCV. That about sums it up.

With Arlington getting ECNL, expect MYS to get another squeeze on the east.

Did ya notice the title of this thread? We’re talking about Loudoun Co. not Fairfax or Arlington, but yes BRYC is going down the tubes. As far as MYS, the rankings are a bit weird this year due to the fact that VA clubs played a lot fewer games than the Covid friendly states.

Number of games have nothing to do with the rankings.....they are based on a points per-game average, which takes different number of games into account....

Loudoun dad with no GA/ECNL level kids so no bad blood to spill. Rather a by-standing observer.

What would happen if ECNL accepts FCV?

U16+ yes, U15 and younger FCV is mid-pack and hasn't made moves. Old vs. new era.

Correct. The better U14 and younger girls left FCV for Loudoun or stayed at Loudoun. Old vs new era.

Everybody starts at Loudoun. Some leave, only a handful go back.

Not any more. The girl that made the tackle that led to the Loudoun score vs FCV at Jeff Cup final started @ FCV at u-littles. Went to Loudoun a few years ago.

Two 07 girls in that game left FCV for Loudoun.....4 years ago.

Real, long-term competition where geography is no longer a factor for the kids who are interested and based on fit, coaching, performance, etc.
