Why does my partner pay $2400 a month child support for one kid?

Maybe he is lying to you because he doesn't want to share his money with you. He's been there done that has no intention of repeating the same "mistakes" . All states have different laws re whether marital assets can be garnished/liened re child custody disputes, should he say fall behind. No way I would tie my wagon to that!
