1. Because there is a much longer and more accepted history of royal men stepping out than women. So you can’t extrapolate from Phillip having an alleged love child to say that Elizabeth does too.
2. Do you really think after being crucified for his treatment of Diana for decades Charles wouldn’t reveal that she cheated on him and passed a kid off as his that wasn’t? Add to the fact that Harry isn’t even a working royal anymore. No. Way.

BTW Princess Beatrice is identical to Queen Victoria as well. In looks and personality. Vickie was addicted to pretty men and obsessed with her late husband as well. Here's hoping Edo is as loyal as Albert was.

This reminds me that I am irritated that the show hasn’t shown the courtship/romance/engagement/wedding of Elizabeth and Philip. It’s mentioned often and I keep hoping for a flashback, but, nothing.

I was also hoping for more Andrew and Fergie, but here’s hoping for next season.

NP - They didn’t really cover it. And to the PP who wanted courtship - there wasn’t much of one. Phillip started writing her letters at 16, she fell in love with his stunning looks, but he was literally off in Europe from 1939 - 1945 serving in the war, and when they married in 1947 since Britain was just coming out of World War II in 1945 and rationing everything - it wasn’t very lavish either.

You want a really courtship watch the Queen Victoria series.

Phillip doesn’t have anything. Literally. He comes from a deposed monarchy and was penniless when Princess Elizabeth married him. He doesn’t own any lands in his name and his title is courtesy of his wife. There’s no inheritance to bequeath. The house he lived at in Sandringham pre-Covid is owned by the monarch.
