I think there are a whole host of things this could be related to that have been covered online and in this forum, most of which have been called fake news or wild conspiracies by Trump supporters who don't understand that Trump has been laundering Russian mob money for decades, and yes, it is related to Epstein (and thus Barr.)

They still need to explain what this was all about.

This has backfired on Barr and Trump. Strauss is a tough prosecutor who was in charge of all Trump related probes as second in command. She is far from compliant and will not waiver in her pursuit of justice. They jumped in the fire with this one.....unlike Berman she didn’t get her job because she was friends with Giuliani. She took down mob bosses for years. Get the popcorn out because she is going to turn up the heat on these prosecutions.

Barr's attempt here was so failed that he managed to replace a Trump donor with a career Federal prosecutor who even won against Trump’s lowlife hero Roy Cohn in the 1970’s.

Maybe this was Barr's way of trying to get rid of Trump.

If Barr wanted to get rid of Trump, he's had unnumerable opportunities. He knows everything.

No, he just f'd up. Again.

Barr wanted to slip in Craig Carpenito who started his career under Chris Christie and represented him in that Bridge/lane disclosure debacle. That Strauss gets the job is precious.

Agree. Major screwup by Barr.

WSJ reporting that, right before the firing, Berman refused to sign a threatening letter to DeBlasio regarding coronavirus restrictions.

Well, let's tell the whole story. it was about restrictions related to going to Church - ie this was Opus Dei Barr speaking.

Apparently Opus refuses to claim ownership of Barr...

While I have no doubt about the DiBlasio letter angle, the first thing I thought of was the Epstein investigation. Berman was very clear at his press conference about people coming forward to tell their stories. It almost made me forget Berman was a Trumper.

Barr lied to the American public. He also lied to an OAG about Berman

Wow.
I mean, who needs fiction, these days?
