I am genuinely confused. Don’t the people in the WH know that the President can’t have anything to do with the firing or demotion of Berman who is overseeing several investigations concerning the President or his associates. Who is giving the President counsel and advice in the WH? Whoever it is did not serve him well at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if Clayton asked McConnell to respect the blue slips after this shit hit the fan. Nice way to get out of this mess. But I can't believe Clayton even wanted the job in the first place -- he's never even tried a case, not even civil. Probably hasn't been in a courtroom since he was sworn into the bar.
