I would think it would be the team fee for the squad that our DS/DD would be assigned to. Squad/team is all the same as before. The main difference I see in this whole thing is the training at the same time. You still have your team coach as always as will mostly participate in games/tournaments with that team.

No, only a “core group” (they said 6-7) would stay red squad. That’s why I asked a question during townhall but it never got addressed. I’m assuming there won’t be much movement at all.

Thank you for taking time to ask questions, people are complaining here but I didn't see anyone asking questions... has anyone send them an email at least? I did and I'm waiting for a response even if it's a marketing strategy or a genetic response. I'll post once I hear back from them...

“Why don’t we just realign in NCSL” was surely a question.

You asked that at the town hall or here?

Not PP. I asked about leagues but no response. Apparently there were more empty CCL slots than I realized.

What was their response?

Ignored. Just like team fees apparently. I asked for some more defining words on standardization (ignored).

I was a huge supporter of CCL a few years back. Kids playing at the same location and less travel at the younger ages etc and many competitive games. As of last year I have a new perspective. The amount of travel for 1 match for lopsided games seems to be the case for the most part. All the competitive games seems to be within the DMV metro area and with so many other leagues CCL has watered down a bit. I would agree with some of the previous posts that LMVSC should realign with how they have been playing with other competitive teams and look at NCSL or EDP. I dont think CCL holds the prestige it may have in the past.

That was apparently answered as well. “Makes it easier for coaches to schedule”. Which makes no sense because two academy coaches are also team coaches. Apparently they think we’re idiots? We’re in CCL only because it’s a “more prestigious league” and they’re trying to recruit players. So instead of lower cost and better for our community, easier job for high paid staff.

Also for the coaches "CCL coach" looks better in a resume than "NCSL Coach" and I doubt the coaches would stay if we're only NCSL. Due to the Pandemic, no major changes will happen anyway.

No major changes. Except prices increases and academy structure. Btw, apparently a “CCL LMVSC Coach” tried to find an NCSL team to replace them in CCL. It was discussed earlier.

Maybe with these sweeping changes, we change leagues as well. Makes sense and costs less.

“Lmvsc - 2 days to accept offer. No refunds or credits given.“

Wow. Thanks LMVSC.

No refunds. As somebody said on the other post... peak Lee-Mt. Vernon.

These clowns think they can hike prices and force people to make a quick decision before much is known. Hard to argue a club like that should remain in business.

We can’t even fill all of our teams. I don’t need this. And if my kid is desperate to play, I’ll find somewhere cheaper. Plenty of options.

I guess staff have been off this thread since they got called out. Too bad, they could see how we feel.

An an LMVSC parent (who won't be returning) I am pretty impressed with SYC's refund options:

- 30% credit to be applied to the 2020-2021 seasonal year SYC Travel Soccer club fees.

- 30% as a tax-deductible donation to the Travel Soccer Program.

- 25% refund.

PP here - here are the options being provided by Gunston:

- All players whose 2019-2020 Club Fees were paid in full will receive a $185 credit that can be applied towards the 2020-2021 Club Fees.

- All players who paid spring 2020 Team Fees in full for tournaments that were cancelled will receive a refund based on any refunds received from the applicable tournament.

Gunston also confirmed that their leagues (EDP and NCSL) communicated to member clubs last week that they would not be offering any refunds for the cancelled seasons. (But I do think at least NCSL is applying a credit to next season.)
