In case you are just tuning in you are in the company of many who share your feelings since January 21..

The Georgetown one is an exception and that was only tested because of the connection with that case.

The Georgetown rector had no travel, how was he able to get tested?

Miracle. He is well connected.

From what I hear it is probably that he contracted it from a conference of Episcopalians in Kentucky that he attended in February. A few of the attendees from all over the country have tested positive.

My educated guess: Telltale signs on his CT scan image + hush hush informal contact tracing info from the conference he attended.

No you aren't. It is not conceivable that we've only gone up by 1 since yesterday. If Virginia's only had capacity to test 200-300 people a day they haven't been testing nearly enough. There are more out there. I'm not relying on # of confirmed cases

Per day? It sounds like the state of Virginia only has 300-400 test kits total right now.

You could be right about that. During the press conference I interpreted it as a daily capacity number, but not so sure now. And I obviously couldn't remember if it was 200-300 or 300-400

Remember the old days when people criticized China messing with numbers... and nobody believed their testing....

Yeah. We make China look extremely forthcoming.

Anyone know anything about the new case in Alexandria?

It’s 300-400 people in VA who can be tested *total* and they are hoping for 200 more kits. Unbelievable.

Every single state health department, state governors should be sounding the alarm bell for lack of testing. This is ridiculous. Given that the main response to this is ramping up the testing, it's crazy that the "greatest nation on the earth" can't even come close to the amount of testing that other nations have done to respond to this.

The US needs to buy tests and any equipment needed to process the tests and figure out how to bypass FDA refs that would slow that down. Immediately.

The US is doing a piss poor job of testing but the DMV seems even worse. And Virginia seems to be lagging behind even more...
