Elizabeth Holmes, CEO of Theranos, finally charged

Her husband's family has tons of money and there are may non-extradition countries around the world. They could just get a private jet and disappear into oblivion.

Stranger things have happened. Like her whole story up until now.

They’d track her down like Ghislaine Maxwell and throw her into a disgusting hellhole. It took the FBI a year to find her after searching multiple countries but now she’s in a downtown NYC prison with sewer rats and mold.

By cooperating with her jailers she could presumably ask for incarceration close enough to her husband that he can bring the child for visitation.

Hahahaha - no. Pregnancy is not an automatic get out of jail free (or delay your incarceration) card

very interesting and definitely seems like something she would do.
Plenty of poor women give birth in jail and don't get to keep the baby with themfor more than a very short time.
of course if you are blond and wealthy, there may be another set of rules.

Prob got her pregnant the first time to make her seem vulnerable up there on the stand.
Good-looking younger MIT grad guy who has stood by her through all of this??? Crazy. I wonder what his parents think.

So there’s no way she’ll get probation? No way she won’t end up locked up?

Oh I do. She is a woman and will not be held to the same standards as a man. White woman with money do not have to face the consequences of their actions. She will have another startup going in a few months as sucker a hold lot more people.

Shameless people.

Wasn’t Maxwell living in Maine in a house she brought?

Women give birth in jail all the time. It would only save her from an execution.

She deserves at least a decade for what she did. She wasn't some CEO brought on 50 years after a product launch and found out it was fraudulent. She INVENTED the product and sold the sham.

Dr Ian Gibbons, a Cambridge-educated British biochemist who became Theranos chief scientist in 2005, took a fatal overdose in 2013 after becoming convinced that Holmes would sack him because he challenged her grandiose claims about her blood-testing machine.

Yes, via a anonymous LLC held in trust by a lawyer. Paid in cash. Made it untraceable for awhile anyway.

Why is that the case?

Why is it the case women give birth in prison or why pregnancy doesn’t give Ms.Holmes a get-out-of-jail free card? It was kid of selfish of her to get pregnant and have a child when she knew she’s facing 10-20 years in prison.
