Searching for options that would be accessible from Fairfax. Also, wondering if there are opinions on Middle School/High School programs vs ones that are dedicated to just Middle School. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

From Fairfax, Cardinal, Pride and VA Metro are your closest/best options for club girls lacrosse from middle school through HS (probably in that order in terms of quality of competitiveness at the HS level right now). My DD plays for Pride at the middle school age groups and loves it.

Wow way to stir her in the wrong direction. Nothing wrong with Priide , good coaching, good players, good management. The only downside to Pride is that they don’t always sign up for The hardest brackets in a tournament, certainly not the players fault they play who’s in front of them.

Cardinal and Metro really! One of those two clubs won’t even be around in three years.

The ask was for good and accessible from Fairfax so how is this steering this person in the wrong direction?

Whenever the M&D or Skywalkers card gets played, the Capital lunatics become really quiet, because they know that they are mediocre

Your right it was for good and accessible clubs. Well one out of two is not bad.

M&D, Yellow Jackets and others are definitely stronger top to bottom than Capital. Nobody would argue that.

But the other DMV clubs? They are light years below Capital.

Not as much now. And the pipeline of teams at Stars are pretty dreadful, so the future looks bleak. The 24 and 25 Stars teams are pretty bad, and a lot of the best players are opting for MC or Pride

I think it’s pretty clear after this year’s tryouts that Capital isn’t and doesn’t have to rely only Stars for its teams.

Lol. Capital isn’t even close to being competitive with the big clubs, go back to your fifth drink of the morning

Who exactly thought that was a good idea? The previous club president who doesn't like Stars because his daughters played for another club and has an axe to grind with a non-PVI coach? Every bit of the above statement is rooted in a really bad lacrosse decision that may have put a nail in the coffin of what was once the most well run girls club in the area. Only a matter of time until Stars fields a high school team and cuts off the pipeline from what is historically ~80% of Capitals recruits to quality schools. Good thing it is not for profit! I would start demanding my $$$ back if I had a kid in the program right now. Speaking of monetary investment, why is it so expensive anyway, if it is Not For Profit? Where does that money go? Must be some fancy-schmancy board meetings!

Not for profit means that all the leftover money is distributed internally. That’s why there is a Stars Black and Capital Orange.

While Capital is the lesser, but still reasonably good, option if your daughter doesn’t make one of the better Baltimore clubs, it makes sense.

But Stars is a joke and a waste of time/money. They can’t beat anybody except MC Elite

Sounds like you might be the guy that the previous poster was referring to. Super classy calling a girls lacrosse team a joke.

M and D is in a class by itself with one or two other clubs nationally. Skywalkers has some very good teams, but lacks the same consistency. It also has a very high attrition rate due to some screamer coaches.

Been waiting for someone who is an expert on girls lacrosse team evaluations to show up here. Glad you finally made it.

There are only 3 current Capital teams. Which one/s aren't close to being competitive? Or are you talking about future, not yet established teams. Or are you just the Pride Staff trying to scam one or two more customers for next year?
