'All rich people are white segregationists even if they arent white.'

'Disagree with me and you are a racist'

Is the only thing you see a persons race? You all are racist.
I feel for the Principal, no matter what he does he cant win. But the real issue here isn't kids being kids in school saying stupid stuff cause they are kids. The real problem us the parents who all hate each other for no damn good reason.

Sorry, this upsets you; however, students would likely refrain from using ugly racial slurs if their school wasn't segregated.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but the property-driven neighborhood school system is a worldwide practice. And no one calls it segregation.
So unless you start tearing down cities for your social experiment that won't change. And costly bussing kids around like chapter 220 did for 15+ years didn't do a thing for black teen tests scores, pregnancies rates, Hs grad rates nor college acceptance rates.

The rest of the county is not segregated thanks to MPDU's which the W's families have fought hard to keep out of their neighborhoods.

Im a minority and I fought hard to live in a W school zone. We worked hard and saved so our kids could grow up in a neighborhood with shared values of hard work and demanding education. No one in our W school tried to stop us, in fact we have been most warmly welcomed. So I think you are falling on stereotypes to form your opinions and not reality.

You live in an MPDU? And you bought it back in the 90's?

No, worked hard, got martied, we bought a starter house, continued to work hard, saved money had kids, sold old house invested profit in new W cluster house (at market value) and we havent looked back.

So. Congrats. Same with a ton of other people. Do you want a cookie. I am talking about poor minorities, who are treated like dirt in the W district.

And for many minorities who worked even harder than you and could afford private, they are at private schools due to being "lumped" with the rest of the minorities.

I dont want your cookie I want you and you stereotypes and your racism and stupidity to leave us the $&@" alone. Let people live their damn lives and make their own choices. You and your 'we gotta do something to help those poor minorites cause they just cant do it on their own.' YES WE CAN.

Please. You did NOT do it on your own. None of you did it on your own.

I obviously don't use the N word, but work in Gaithersburg and hear that word daily.

Also, 'sexual identity references'?? What does that mean? You can't talk about sexual identity?

my locker was in the Cooper section and I heard that word multiple times a day, but not from white kids. oh well.

I think they meant words like fa__ot

Who "oppresses black people?" You? Not me.

And sorry, but I disagree with you 100% on this one. If the word is verboten for one person to say, then it equally is for others.

One would almost think you wanted to be allowed to say the word.

It's like saying "you're ugly". If your friend said that, it would be like a joke and something that you know is not to be taken seriously, but if a random stranger just came up and said that it would be demeaning.

I wish we could all agree to just shelve the word given the potential for abuse.

If anyone wants to get desensitized by the use of the N-word all you have to do is stop into the McDonalds across the street from Blair around 3pm. One can just sit in a middle table, look around and watch blacks using it, Hispanics using it, Asian's using it, and yes, whites using it. It's so ingrained in speech patterns that it replaces "umm" and "like" in their normal dialog.

I think that McDonalds speaks more about the kids at Blair than ingrained speech patterns. That McDonald’s actually is what convinced us not to move inbounds for Blair. We were considering Blair and stopped at the location by chance and were sitting in it when school let out. We decided to compromise on house size and quality and move to BCC and are completely happy with that decision.

What a perfect anecdote to describe why neighborhoods are still segregated. Once while house hunting, you ran into people who weren't like you, and you ran screaming for the whiteopia of Bethesda. Oh well, enjoy your mortgage.

So one ran for whiteopia and the other ran for blackistan, besides the ability to prop one’s area up independently and the other needing assistance what is the difference?

And yes when I see a bunch of loud and obnoxious kids with low prospects, I do agree that it is quite different than what I expect and worthy of being avoided.

There used to be a McDonald's across from B-CC, didn't there? Probably the B-CC kids at that McDonald's after school didn't talk about integration by parts and the construction of masculinity in Antony and Cleopatra. But maybe they did, I don't know.

My kid went to B-CC. You actually did not want to be in that McDonald's either after school. LOL!! Teens can be jerks, loud and inconsiderate - that's a universal concept.

?? I was defending Blair because it's my neighborhood. Nothing the least bit hypocritical about it.

I grew up going to the McDonald’s across from BCC, it had very little in common with the one at 4 corners aside from the Golden Arches. I get being turned off of an area if one was to just wander in on a random day expecting a woodmore vibe but receiving a more oak ridge or Quebec Terrace scene. People forget the huge amount of uneducated poverty that feeds and neighbors that area and it can be offputting for those not poor and uneducated. Just saying
