Not my problem.

Walking units should not be moved. Period.

Sorry, but someone is getting moved and there other important considerations.

We are white. We don't meet the important considerations.

John Chadwick said walkers will not be moved. Don't listen to the other poster.

I heard the collective is the YHS zone that is fighting against diversifying and adding brown kids to their school. They are out in force on these boards minority bashing.

They are the ones arguing to get the million dollar home white kids over to their school so they won't have more apartment kids bussed over.

I agree with LV lady, if we had less pussies on the County & School Boards we wouldn't find ourselves in the over-crowded mess we currently have.

They've been "in discussions" about this since my 13-year old was in Kindergarten.

More outrage would be a good thing.

Maybe you two should move.

I watched the video of tonight's SB meeting, and it seems like a pretty impossible task to figure all of this out w/n the next month or so. Why don't they tell us their proposals and let the community comment on them? The part at the end where they said you should grab a sticky note and put it next to the board with 1 of the 6 criteria seemed so pointless. They really have time to collect all of the physical notes and some how incorporate that into the decision making process?

It is so infuriating to hear that APS has projected above average growth (they mentioned something tonight about gaining 900 plus students in recent years which is the equivalent of an entire ES) and yet some how the CB is deliberately ignoring this issue.

Yes. This is the dumbest thing I've heard. Having a bunch of yentas move around and banish certain blocks that have nothing to do with their home address.

No wonder nothing ever gets solved in this County and we still haven't solved the middle school problem either.

All of these random activities and making the collective feel like they have a voice are solely to mask the bolded and highlighted. Welcome to Arlington.

The conclusion is they need a 4th high school. Within the next few years. Period.

because.....

APS will say they have no land & their hands are tied.
ACB will act like schools are for APS and APS alone to solve.

The school board IS planning to build a 4th high school, just not a comprehensive school with fields and full facilities. But it's current plan has funding for a school facility with 1,300 seats.

Personally, I think we need a 4th comprehensive school given the numbers we're looking at, but to say that the board isn't planning on building a fourth school isn't strictly true.

Yeah. They're planning on it someday...
