What's the creepiest/weirdest thing you've ever seen?

My ex boyfriend's life long friend died in a car accident. A day or two after his death, ex and I were sitting near computer.
For the first and only time, the speakers played what sounded like a decades old radio transmission about friendship and best friends. These were regular computer speakers 9 years ago, not wifi or anything that would catch radio waves.

The tree branch man. His hands and feet have grown into twisted vines resembling tangled tree roots. Just disgusting and tragic. I think they row him here from Brazil or some other country to try to operate. I imagine it would only grow back.

I still regret not doing anything but I was a kid myself and didn't know what to do. I still wouldn't know what to do but get her alone and see if she (a stranger to me) was ok.

Vile

Sorry I don't get it. How can you, as a "kid" have enough maturity and life experience to know that what you were looking at is odd or off in some way.

Maybe you left out some details but this doesn't sound odd, creepy or vile to me.

Row him over from Brazil?

Just google "tree man, Bangledesh" and stop micro editing so early in the morning.

Brazil is not the same as Bangladesh. Just because you're so ignorant both appear the same in your head, that's not the same.

I think you were trying to be funny, but that failed.

Like listening to music and suddenly I thought to myself "I need to switch lanes," for no apparent reason. I remember even thinking to myself that there was no reason to switch lanes, but then I just did it. Seconds later a tractor trailer that had been adjacent to me started swerving and swerved into the lane I had just been in, slamming into a car right where I had been. It was surreal, as I saw this all through my rear view mirror, and it was like I was amidst all this traffic and then suddenly all the traffic behind me just stopped and I was nearly alone on the beltway with the accident and wall of traffic getting smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror.

Then out of nowhere, I thought to myself "thank you Grandpa." He passed when I was just 6 years old, but we were very close.

This brought tears to my eyes.

So a few creepy things I've witnessed:

1.) when I was about 9-10, my family and I were at the beach. It was towards the end of the day and we were having a picnic dinner when we heard a man yelling way out on he reef. It looked like he was dragging something. My dad ran out to help him. It turns out the man was dragging his friend who may have had a heart attack bag to shore. When they got back, my dad started administrating CPR. I don't know how much time passed but the man vomited a few times but never regained consciousness. Meanwhile, is kids (ages between 6-10) watched the whole thing.

2.) I was in Thailand in middle school and was in a car with my parents. We were stopped in traffic and I was looking out the window and saw a motorcycle laying on its side on the road with a person kind of sprawled out next to it not moving. It took a few minutes for me to realize that his head was smashed and there was brain matter splattered around on the ground, surrounding cars, etc. there were not cops or ambulances around so I guess it had just happened.

3.). Also when I was in middle school. There was a man that regularly road his bike up and down the street with his pants open and dick hanging out, in front of my girls catholic school after school got out and kids were waiting for the bus.

4.) when I was in high school, I was driving home one night and a cat walked out in front of my car, stopped and looked into the headlights and vanished in the middle of the street.

Kids are incredibly intuitive and can often pick up on things (through a "knowing") that many adults would miss. I believe PP. I bet the girl gave off some emotions when her dad put her arm around her and the PP sensed it all. Haven't you ever been in a situation and you just "knew" that a couple had been fighting before they joined you at the dinner table for a group dinner (or whatever)? It is much like that.

When I was in college, my boyfriend and 3 of his friends were in a terrible car accident. One good friend, John, died within 72 hours. My boyfriend's best friend died a week later. My boyfriend held on for 3 weeks in the ICU. The night that that my boyfriend died, I was getting ready for bed and I saw John standing at the end of my bed. He told me that my boyfriend was going to die tonight, and that he had waited for him. John said that it would all be okay. My boyfriend died about 3 hours later. I got the call the next day to tell me that my boyfriend had died.

I'm mostly an atheist, but I can't be completely an atheist because I saw John after he was dead and he told me that my boyfriend would die that night. I don't what's out there, but John told me it was all okay.

Once a few years back saw a white lady actually hold the elevator door for me - a black man - and to top it off she said "Good morning"...

Shit freaked me out.

I've probably told these stories before on another ghost story thread, but here it goes:

I used to teach at a very old public high school in a large city. The school had been around since the 1800's so most of the building was not air conditioned. The only rooms with air conditioning had window units. Because I taught photography, my classroom had two window AC units, one at the front of the classroom and one at the back. They had wall switches bellow each that would turn them on. Anyway, one morning when I arrived at school, I went into the darkroom, which was a closed room at the back of my classroom, to turn on the exhaust fan and safety lights. I came out, switched on the AC at the back of the room and before I could take a step toward the front AC unit, it turned on by itself. I walked over to it and the switch had been flipped to the "on" position.

Another time at the same school: It was 5-5:30 and I was getting ready to leave for the day so no one else was around on my floor. I was using the faculty bathroom down the hall. It was a single person bathroom accessible only by a key that faculty had, and it was right next to the dark and locked social studies office. While I was in the bathroom I heard what sounded like someone washing their hands at a sink on the other side of the wall in the social studies office. I thought maybe someone was in there and I didn't realized it. When I left the bathroom, I checked the office and it was still dark and locked.

This didn't happen to me but another teacher at the school: this teacher was unlocking her classroom one morning and as she stepped into her room, she saw a young girl in old fashioned clothes sitting at one of the desks. The teacher just backed out of the room and shut the door.

We used to go to my Grandfather's grave regularly when my son was younger. He could always find it easier than the rest of us, which was fine. That was just where he went to visit Great Grandpa after he died. DS would sit by the grave and natter away, like he was having a conversation. I was okay with all of that.

One day, he stood up and started walking away. I asked where he was going and he said "to talk to that boy over there." Hmm? He was looking towards the area of the cemetery where children are buried. I couldn't see anyone there.

He's an adult now and I don't know that I took him back since. My Grandpa always said ds had "been here before." Knew things and recognized people he shouldn't for his age, etc.

None of that unsettled me. Seeing a boy in the cemetery did.
