The only rooms with air conditioning had window units.  Because I taught photography, my classroom had two window AC units, one at the front of the classroom and one at the back. They had wall switches bellow each that would turn them on.  Anyway, one morning when I arrived at school, I went into the darkroom, which was a closed room at the back of my classroom, to turn on the exhaust fan and safety lights.  I came out, switched on the AC at the back of the room and before I could take a step toward the front AC unit, it turned on by itself.  I walked over to it and the switch had been flipped to the "on" position.

Another time at the same school: It was 5-5:30 and I was getting ready to leave for the day so no one else was around on my floor. I was using the faculty bathroom down the hall.  It was a single person bathroom accessible only by a key that faculty had, and it was right next to the dark and locked social studies office.  While I was in the bathroom I heard what sounded like someone washing their hands at a sink on the other side of the wall in the social studies office.  I thought maybe someone was in there and I didn't realized it.  When I left the bathroom, I checked the office and it was still dark and locked.

This didn't happen to me but another teacher at the school: this teacher was unlocking her classroom one morning and as she stepped into her room, she saw a young girl in old fashioned clothes sitting at one of the desks.  The teacher just backed out of the room and shut the door.[/quote]
