Since when does anyone check rosters in the HOCO league? I am sure the logic was "they plan to re-class at a later date" No age restrictions grade only with no verification system. If you ain't cheat'n you ain't try'n. Heck you could bring in a college player and it would be within the rules as long as the player did not play on a HS JV or Varsity team. The most surprising part of this story is that a team was actually caught and disqualified. This happens with many teams at many age groups. |
What Madlax should have done is put them in the 2025 B division - not playing against legit 5th grade teams and taking up a playoff spot. This team was awful last spring/fall as a mixed 5th/6th grade team but has improved this spring. From what i understand is this team was entered into the 2026 A division, made 2nd seed in playoffs, beat the opposing team who made a protest on the roster immediately following, some kids shared they were in fact 6th graders (in fact, I know a kid on that team who is old enough to be a 7th grader.) But Madlax, coaches and parents knew they were playing down... hopefully Mdlax will make some adjustments to their summer tourneys - I can just hear opposing teams calling them out as cheaters and they aren't wrong. |
Wrong. The team has 6th graders on the team and they entered the HOCO 2026 A division. That is blatant cheating. |
"If you ain't cheat'n you ain't try'n." Really? That's pathetic and the only possible mindset that would allow you to play for this program. Your child is destined to grow up blaming the world for any adversity and bending the rules to make it suit him -- well done. I truly hope this is Cabel replying to defend himself because I can't imagine any parent stooping this low. It's 5th grade... |
Anybody want to write Hoco Rec and suggest Madlax get banned for next spring? Madlax, coaches and parents knew exactly what they were doing. |
This isn't an isolated incident. It's well known that Madlax routinely has players play down on the younger teams. The elementary age teams are notorious for this. |
Lots of focus on winning, developing only their best players and leaving others to fend for themselves -parents have no idea of how their kid's time/effort and their money are being squandered until it's too late. Ironically, Madlax purports a character building C.A.S.E methodology soo.... Please explain how that aligns to their SOP - playing down youth players in Hoco/summer tourneys or Cabell personally bringing Capital A players into B level DMV games (putting everyone else on the bench) to just barely win. Don't they trust their coaches and players? |

OK you got me. This is him. I am really sorry we were caught. As a consolation, I am offering a discount code that can be used at our online store or at any of the C.A.S.E. camps. It can also be applied to the interest on your monthly MadLax payment just enter the code T-R-O-L-L at registration. However this is not really my fault. I told my 7th grade players to tell the ref they were in 5th and they were confused and told them 6th grade. That is on me. I typically could care less about the DMV teams but I saw a trophy that could be won and the Hawks already had more than I did. I am sure you all understand. |
So funny. DCUM gets so worked up they couldn't see the sarcasm in the earlier post. |
I’ve tried to enter TROLL registering my 16 yr old 8th grader for the Madlax 7th grade team, but it’s not discounting the fee. |
You win the internet today...well done |
How many times did you try the code? Just five or six? Keep trying. Don't make me call you an ungrateful quitter! |
This guy could have ruined my DS's college choices if my DS didn't make such a good impression on his own. Hindsight, I wish I had never let my DS anywhere near this scumbag and his program. |
I know they produce some great lacrosse players, but I personally question the integrity of any family that associates their son with that program. |
Go ahead and register for CASE - your discount will be refunded per Madlax accounting practices at the end of the month, on the 35th of never. |
