Except there are clubs like Blackwolf and VLC who have just as much success recruiting-wise (although the BW owner has had a bad incident in his past that we've learned about). We've seen that there are better options. We are not going to give our money and compromise our morals with that club. |
Is this some kind of joke? You can threatening a kid and his parents and implying that his former team will hurt him on the field is just "lost his cool"? We talked to several Madlax families who've gotten the same treatment from this guy. You are saying that if someone leaves Madlax and stops communicating via email that they deserve to be attacked? That's good business? How can you defend that? Why would anyone put up with that? MAYBE if it was the only game in town, but it's not. |
The BW owner is a pedophile. Geez... "had a bad incident" WTF is wrong with you? |
My son played for Madlax from 7th grade until he graduated HS. He actually had a great experience and Cabell always treated him very well. If your son is a top player with a good work ethic he will enjoy the experience. From my experience the people\players that had issues with Cabell were the parents who thought their child was better than they really were or players that were lazy during practices or games. Your son will have to try out at least twice a year and Cabell has no issues cutting players (or demoting them to the B team). This is not "daddy ball" like Bethesda and other teams coached by parents. Cabell was a very good coach and 90 percent of my sons team went on to play D1 lacrosse. |
Agree with above |
Sending kids nasty emails threatening to hurt their future playing career is not excusable. I don’t know this person but those emails are pretty telling. |
Oh stop Cabell is human -we have all sent regretful emails. Stay focused on if you are happy with the program and not thendumb email. |
I kjow several families who had no problems until they tired of pverpayong and decided to leave. Allwere is threatened the same way as tree he Deadspin family. As for no Daddy ball, ask the 24 parents what they think of the owner playing his two sons over more deserving players. |
Can you think of any business that would send their clients emails like the ones Madlax sends? |
You should not be talking about specific kids but seriously his kids are incredibly gifted. If you are good you should get playing time even if you are related to the owner. |
I agree as to the first email....but to send a second email weeks later, clearly threatening the kid that his teammates 'can't wait to get a shot at him'.... Come on fanboys, that tells everyone who he iis. Enough time passed to settle down, and he couldn't. And that wasn't an isolated incident, just one that was published. As to,the recruiting point. Yes, he gets kids recruited, frequently to programs that aren't a good fit, to make his business look good. Then again, if you'd put your kid on a madlax team, you're so blinded by shiny things, that you don't likely care about the fit for your kid, as long as you can brag about where he's the 54th kid on the roster. |
What does this have to do with private school. This incident happened years ago and again everyone does dumb things. Sad that a private email is released again and again and again. If youndin’t Like him then choose another program |
The internet is forever. But usually it's dumb teenagers who learn this the hard way, not grown men. |
NP. He threatened in the email that he would tell other coaches and hurt the players future playing opportunities basically he said he would get him blackballed from other teams. That is a big deal and not normal behavior. |
That is not a normal email. It is terrible and indefensible. Your defense of it is sad. |
