You'll be asking that of my kid who's top of her class at one of the most elite schools in the country... I doubt she'll worry much about your opinion.

Of course she's at the top of her class! Wasn't that the point?

Funny comment. There's a thread about ages and velcro shoes. When my oldest child was in pre-K the velcro shoes became a big NO during the school year. Kindergarten was worse. A group of boys including several redshirts some of whom had older brothers plus were very socially aware made life extremely difficult for the guys in velcro. No funky brands or character shoes. It had to be stuff like new balance or adidas. Just one way older and more mature can impact the younger ones.

I think it's the older sibling/younger sibling dynamic, not chronological age. When my oldest was in NS and K, I was horrified at what he was picking up from the kids with older sibs. When my youngest was that age, I'm sure he horrified other parents in the same way. Stuff trickles down.

Is it too early in this discussion for me to start blaming redshirting for things like global warming and my saggy boobs? Or do I need to wait until this thread reaches page 20 before I do that? Just checking.

It's a real shame no-one had you spayed. You manifestly have no business being around children.
