Well, that's what everyone thought about the snipers too. They stayed around awhile.

I think he lives in Rosemont.

It's possible. But someone knows this person. Someone might see their "old" resemblance, compared to a sudden change in their appearance.

There may be a connection to other cases, in very close proximity. If it's the same perpetrator, then there may be something about the area that is making them target it. They may stay local, for a future strike.

This story has been posted in national, and even some international news sources. It's important to post it often, and with a wide audience.

Why do you think he lives in Rosemont?

Not PP, but I agree. I live in Rosemont and I swear he looks so familiar, in particular the eyes and nose. But I can't figure out where, so I can't give any tips but I can't stop thinking of where have I seen this person (at the post office, or grocery store, or dry cleaners or farmers market or Starbucks or st Elmo's or playground or metro, etc). I pray I have an aha moment soon.

I'm the person you quoted..I live in Rosemont, too, and agree he looks very familiar. The reason I asked is because I wondered if there was a reason the PP said Rosemont specifically..why not Del Ray, North Ridge, or Beverley Hills?

What seems so strange is that in an area that is highly transient, all three of these victims were longtime residents of Alexandria. I wonder if there is any connection between the three victims, like a church, club, or civic organization.

Not sure about clubs, etc. but what I know (aka what Google told me) is Lodato was a member @ Blessed Sacrament, Dunning was a member @ St Rita's, and Dunning was a member of the del ray civic association

Did any of the victims frequent Town Hall meetings, forums, or other such events?

I wonder if they opposed or disagreed with something he said, or said something that royally (and totally irrationally) pissed him off.

In the area where the incident occurred, I don't doubt he could be in the area. Lots of older white me in that Parton Alexandria and lots of busy people who might not make a second glance. He could easily blend in.

It's good to hear that people think the sketch looks familiar. Gives me hope that the police have some solid tips. If these cases are related, at least they have a description of the perpetrator.

This sketch looks like the scary old neighbor in the Home Alone movie. That's why he looks familiar to me.

The problem is that the sketch is kind of bland - it looks like a HUGE portion of the population. We all know someone that looks like this. We need more details - height, build, or any determining marks.

I just received this message from Alexandria eNews:
Police Continue to Investigate Homicide

Since the February 6, shooting, that resulted in the death of Ruthanne Ladoto, Alexandria Police have worked around the clock gathering information.

The release of the suspect composite on Friday generated an enormous number of tips; as a result the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is assisting the department with agents and analysts to help vet each and every tip.

Beginning tomorrow detectives and officers will be out in the community surrounding Ridge Road Drive speaking with residents and handing out flyers. Any law enforcement officer you encounter will identify themselves and have credentials. If you are apprehensive, call 703.746.4444 or 9-1-1 if you are in immediate danger.

Residents should continue to take standard precautions with their safety. Lock your doors and windows at all times. Be sure of who is at your door before you answer. Do not open your door for strangers.

The Alexandria Police Department will keep the public informed as the investigation progresses. For the latest updates visit alexandriava.gov/police. Report any suspicious activity to 703.746.4444.

Tomorrow would be 4 full days after the shooting. WHY DIDN'T THEY CONSIDER DOING THIS EARLIER?? Everyone knows the moments after a shooting, especially the first 24 hours, are the most crucial - also to get the most accurate accounts from possible witnesses. Honestly, this sounds more like a PR initiative than productive investigation.
