A sad story about terrible parenting.

This exactly. I don't care what race this woman is. She sucks as a mom, plain and simple. And, all these empty excuses about how she just 'couldn't' make better decisions because of her circumstances are pure crap.

Four innocent kids died as a result of her actions and as a result of some poor decisions on her part.

my parents irresponsible and went and partied
this mother was out, but fire was arount 11 pm, so we do not know if she left after the kids left, or how late she would have come home, or if she had a relative who was supposed to keep an eye on the trailer.
Some people believe that even single mothers are allowed to go out and dance.
Irresponsible for having so many kids? I do not get that.Living on welfare? that is not a crime. And we do not even know that.

What's the point of this entire thread other than to wax on and on about what a terrible parent some woman we don't doing some things we don't think we'll ever do, with 5 kids that we'd never have unless we're independently wealthy as one person said, living in a trailer that we'd never live in, and on and on and on. Talk about a bunch of elitist assholes having fun talking about someone like your opinion is worth anything at all. But I'm sure you all feel superior. Oh. That was the point of this thread.

The point of the thread should have been that it is really tragic that these children died under such terrible circumstances, and really sad that their mother was so negligent. I agree that it got off topic with discussion of her sexuality, income, and the number of children she had. However, I still don't see what the point of your story about how your parents let you play outside alone at age 3 in the 70s.

Newsflash. If you don't have a living body at your house watching your kids, your ass should not be going out period.
You are right. Everyone deserves a night out, IF they have a responsible person watching their kids.........not from across the street, in the home.

Yes, it's irresponsible to bring a bunch of kids into this world and you can't even afford to have them. Anyone here 26 and could support 5 or 6 kids? I know I couldn't and I would love to have 6 children, but guess what? I won't cause I can't afford it. Chances are neither could she. Let's make another assumption. She is a welfare recipient. Want to know how I know?

Even IF she had a job, you can't feed and put clothes on 6 kids when you get paid minimum wage.

Stop with the we don't know this, we don't know that story. We know enough and it makes my stomach turn.

Oh, we are all alive today. My mom tells me I used to play outside alone already at the age of 3. And this is the not so nice part of town, high rise building, etc

What is the point of this story? That parents can make some really irresponsible decisions and their kids might not necessarily die?

No. You are wrong.

The point of this thread was to vent about how irresponsible this mother was and how furious people felt that she left her babies alone so she could go out and party.

Would you do such a thing? I bet anyone with some sense of responsibility would pass on a night out if it meant leaving their child/children alone at home.

There are other poor people who would also pass because on a night out , despite living in the ghetto or a trailor park, because even though they are not rich they love their kids and have a sense of responsibility.

To add, this mother has had previous CPS issues regarding her parenting. So excuse us for being pissed off about such a woman.
